PRESS RELEASE

Headline: ADC Youth Protest: Take Your Grievances to Your Party Leaders, Not Public Institutions — PBAT Door-to-Door Movement

The attention of the Lagos State Chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement 2027 has been drawn to the recent protest staged by some youths of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Katsina State.

We wish to state in the strongest possible terms that this action is misguided, irresponsible, and a blatant attempt to shift internal party failures to the public domain. Nigerians and critical national institutions must not be burdened with the consequences of poor leadership, lack of coordination, and unresolved internal disputes within the ADC.

The protest clearly reflects a party struggling with basic leadership capacity and internal cohesion. Rather than engage their stakeholders and leadership through established party mechanisms, these youths have chosen the path of public disruption—an approach that only exposes the depth of disorganization within their ranks.

Let it be clear: the Independent National Electoral Commission is not a dumping ground for political inefficiencies, nor is it responsible for resolving intra-party conflicts. Attempting to pressure INEC over purely internal matters is not only inappropriate but also undermines the seriousness expected of any political organization seeking relevance.

We therefore call on the protesting youths to immediately redirect their grievances to the appropriate leadership structures and stakeholders within the African Democratic Congress. Accountability must be demanded where it rightly belongs—not forced upon neutral public institutions or the general populace.

Nigeria’s democracy requires discipline, structure, and responsible political engagement. Parties that cannot manage their internal affairs have no business exporting their confusion to the streets or distracting institutions tasked with safeguarding our electoral process.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement 2027 remains committed to promoting responsible political participation and will continue to advocate for order, leadership, and accountability across all levels of engagement.

Amb. Amosu Kazeem Oluwatomi
Lagos State Coordinator

Congratulatory Message to Tijani Saheed Oluwadare (Seedorf) and Lekan Biliaminu Sulaiman Oba

I am filled with immense joy and pride as I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Tijani Saheed Oluwadare, popularly known as Seedorf Oluwadare , and Lekan Biliaminu Sulaiman Oba on their well-deserved appointment as Senior Special Assistants to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wealth Creation and Social Development. This is not just a personal achievement but a monumental step forward for the youth of our nation.

For many years, it has been my dream to see our youth transition into roles of governance after dedicating themselves to meritorious service in the youth space. Seedorf and Oba's appointments are a shining example of this dream becoming reality. Their long-standing commitment to the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and their proven track record of leadership have positioned them perfectly to take on these new roles. Seedorf, the former Organising Secretary of Lagos West and the current National President of Youth Challenge International, and Oba, the former Coordinator of the Ikorodu local branch and immediate past State Chairman of NYCN Lagos, are both exemplary leaders whose experiences will undoubtedly bring immense value to the government.

I must commend Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his visionary approach in recognizing and elevating youth leaders to positions of influence. This decision reflects your commitment to youth inclusion in governance, a testament to your ambassadorial epitome of leadership that embraces the vibrancy and potential of our younger generation. By bringing youth leaders like Seedorf and Oba into your administration, you are not only investing in the present but also securing the future of Lagos State.

The beauty of successful transition is what we are experiencing now. It is a moment of pride for all of us who have dedicated our lives to youth development. However, as we celebrate, let us also remember the power of unity. The youth of our nation must stand together, resist the temptation to fall into the traps of divide and rule, and recognize that we have so much more to gain in unity. Together, we can achieve even greater heights.

Once again, congratulations to Seedorf and Oba. I have no doubt that you will both excel in your new roles and continue to be shining examples of youth leadership. May your journey in governance be as impactful and inspiring as your contributions to the youth movement have been.

Signed,
Prince Amosu Tomi
