Take your time to read the comments of the Boys and Girls at the special correctional Centers in Lagos.

I facilitated the feedback session in the Life-changing Sensitization, asking the wards. What do you want the Government to do for you? reading some of these comments and feedback, at a point I was emotional, many of them are living in regret paying for their sins/crimes, and many have learned their lessons waiting to be reintegrated into society. Every child deserves a right, because they are in special correctional centers does not mean it is the end of life.
The Government cannot do it alone, With the Pen-Chant World Initiative we can help and assist these children to be a better agent in society when finally reintegrated.

Life-Changing Sensitization to Special Correctional Centres for both Boys and Girls respectively.

In keeping with the United Nations SDGs 4, which are part of the Pen-Chant World Initiative mandate. Education/Sensitization is a platform that can open numerous doors to uncovering people's abilities, values, and productivity, particularly youths in prison. The Life-changing Sensitization by Pen-Chant World Initiative, in collaboration with the Buluzo Foundation, takes place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Special Correctional Centers for Boys and Girls, respectively.

The sensitization brought a lot of eye-opening among the wards present therein, the Girls section located at Idi-Araba Mushin is a home of about 45 girls mostly between 12 years to 17, these girls showcased a great deal of intellectual capacity from the engagement and dialogue session, their intuition and virtue are top notches, all of them got interested in our talk which ranges from Menstrual Hygiene, my now my potentials, the responses from these girls brought a lot of tears and emotions from my team.

At the boys' section at Oregun Ikeja, the atmosphere and ambiance were encouraging, the boys were so lively, their ages were from 10 to 17, and their overall number was about 79.
Their interactional flow and listening ears were so encouraging, the sensitization which started with a recap of the stories of prominent Football players from low backgrounds who are making waves across the world gave these wards hope for the future, no matter the gravity of crimes they might have committed, they were glued to the talk and asked reasonable and thought-provoking questions for clarity. Many among them exhibited brilliance with great entrepreneurial skills, many need to be reintegrated into society after being rehabilitated and reconstructed.

Teenage crime offenders are real, that is why the United Nations Human Rights Law on Juvenile says, "Sufficient attention should be given to positivity that involves the full mobilization of all possible resources, from the family, volunteers and other community groups, to promote the well-being of the juvenile, to reduce the need for intervention under the law, and of effectively, fairly and humanely dealing with the juvenile in conflict with the law. Also, Juvenile justice shall be conceived as an integral part of the national development process of each country, within a comprehensive framework of social justice for all juveniles, thus, at the same time, contributing to the protection of the young and the maintenance of a peaceful order in society.
