"A machine that learns and performs tasks like a human." 🧠
That was the definition we learned during our hands-on session on Artificial Intelligence for Week 5 of our Girls Hack for Impact program in Musanze.
In the era of LLMs, anyone can use AI. But knowing how they actually work is the real superpower. That's why we brought our cohort together to explore Practical AI.
The girls spent the day actively building. They opened up laptops, experimented with computer vision algorithms by training their very first image classification models on Google’s Teachable Machine, and saw first-hand how machines learn from examples.
Between debugging we**am permissions, sorting image classifications, and singing icebreakers in both English and Kinyarwanda, our girls proved that tech capability has no boundaries.
This is what real, active digital inclusion looks like on the ground.
