YOUR PART IN OSHODI MEDICAL MISSIONS

We greet you in the Name of our Risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), the Missionary of Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF), in partnership with Right Aid Health Foundation, One Life Hospital, Association of Rural Surgeons of Nigeria (ARSPON), etc will embark on a 5-day medical mission in Oshodi and neighbouring communities from August 2 - 7, 2026.

Oshodi is a major, bustling transportation hub and commercial district in Lagos, Nigeria, located within the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Lagos State

The area now known as Oshodi-Isolo has been inhabited for centuries, originally settled by the Igbomina-Yoruba ethnic group. In the early 1900s, the colonial government designated Oshodi as an important transport hub and market centre, bringing an influx of migrants from all over Nigeria and West Africa. From the historic shrines and royal compounds to the contemporary hustle and bustle, Oshodi-Isolo’s vibrant culture reflects the diversity of Nigeria as a whole.

Oshodi-Isolo is also an important industrial centre, home to factories producing textiles, steel, and vehicle parts. However, poverty and lack of infrastructure remain ongoing challenges. Community organisations work to provide healthcare, education, and job opportunities for residents.

Many people from other parts of Lagos State and beyond will also benefit from this outreach.
