Resumption of Monthly Environmental Sanitation in Mushin Local Government.
The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, hereby announces the resumption of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across Mushin.
In line with the directive of the Lagos State Government, the exercise will commence on:
Date: Saturday, 25th April 2026.
*Time: 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.*
(and subsequently, every last Saturday of the month)
Residents are strongly advised to:
Clean their surroundings thoroughly
Clear drainage systems around their homes and business premises
Dispose of waste properly
This exercise is a civic duty aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier, and flood-free Mushin Local Government.
Hon. Aruwe reiterates that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility and essential to the wellbeing of all residents.
Environmental and enforcement agencies will be on ground to monitor compliance.
Indiscriminate dumping of refuse on roads, medians and drainage channels is strictly prohibited and will attract serious penalties in line with environmental laws.
Residents are therefore urged to cooperate fully and participate actively in the exercise.
