The EYM believes that peacebuilding requires patience, dialogue and strict adherence to government and all constituted authorities directives, any action that could or seeks to undermine this process, no matter the intent must be handled with caution. We, therefore, urge all stakeholders, particularly traditional rulers and community leaders to remain committed to the peace process and avoid any statements or actions that may reignite tensions.
We therefore plead with Toto LGA authority and Nasarawa State Government to swiftly clarify the status of land allocation in Turunku and ensure that all parties involved compel to respect the established procedures to prevent any misunderstanding or potential crises.
As a youth movement dedicated to peace, unity and development, we reaffirm our commitment towards supporting any initiative that will promotes peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among all communities and tribes in Toto LGA and Nasarawa State at large.
We also take this opportunity to sincerely appreciate all those who have worked tirelessly towards ensuring the return of peace to Toto LGA, the Executive Chairman of Toto LGA, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the Interfaith Initiatives for Peace *Institute for Integrated transition* (IFIT), the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Police Force and its other sister agencies and most particularly, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. A.A. Sule.
Their unwavering commitment to peace and security cannot be overemphasized and has been primarily instrumental in fostering stability in Toto LGA and Nasarawa state at large.
