Lafia Unity & Development Forum A platform dedicated to unity, development, and progress in Lafia through community engagement and impactful programs.

Lafia Unity and Development Forum say's no to the destructive nature of political thuggery, violence, assassination, blackmail, and defamation in political processes. These practices undermine democracy, erode trust, and destabilize communities that have long enjoyed peace.

The government responsibility is crucial: institutions at all levels must ensure that politics remains about ideas, policies, and service to the people not intimidation or destruction. When political competition turns into hostility, it risks tearing apart the very fabric of society.

Unity and development reflects the idea that politics should be a tool for progress, not division. If leaders and citizens alike reject destructive tactics, communities like Lafia can safeguard their peace and focus on growth.

Lafians must understand that choosing a representative is not just about sweet speeches, loud campaigns, or temporary gifts. It is about our future, our children, and the development of our dear community.

We must critically assess every candidate by looking at their track records, integrity, competence, and genuine commitment to the people. We should not allow ourselves to be deceived the way many before us were deceived.

Campaign periods will come and go, but life continues after elections. Roads, schools, healthcare, security, and opportunities for our youths will remain our daily realities.

Let us keep records of every promise made—every word, every pledge, every assurance—and hold our leaders accountable after they assume office.

A better Lafia begins with wise choices, not emotional decisions.

The question is:
Should we keep voting based on sentiments, or should performance and accountability become our new standard?

These are challenging times for many families, and the weight of hardship is felt across our communities. But even in difficult moments, hope must remain alive.

Better days will surely come when we make the right choices—leaders with integrity, vision, compassion, and genuine commitment to the people. Our votes and our voices matter.

Lafia deserves progress, peace, security, and opportunities for all. Let us stay united, stay informed, and choose wisely.

The future we desire begins with the decisions we make today.

NO TO OPPRESSION — NO TO SILENCE

A better Lafia begins with how we treat one another.

Do not use power, position, or privilege to oppress others. Strength is not measured by how loud you dominate, but by how fair you lead.

At the same time, do not accept oppression as your fate. Your voice matters. Your dignity matters. Speak up, stand firm, and support one another.

A community that refuses to oppress—and refuses to be oppressed—is a community that grows in unity, justice, and progress.

Lafia belongs to all of us. Let’s build it together—with respect, courage, and fairness.

Lafia Unity and Development Forum says no to some candidates who contest elections without the genuine capacity to win, yet adopting a “if I don’t win, no one should” attitude that clearly undermines the unity and progress of Lafia.

The Forum is hereby rejecting this mindset; the Forum also emphasizes that Lafia’s development must come first, above individual egos or narrow interests.

Therefore, “together we grow, divided we lose it all” this powerful message is intended to capture the essence of community-driven progress.

If this principle is consistently upheld, it could reshape the political culture in Lafia LGA.

We are encouraging candidates to focus on service, competence, and collaboration rather than divisive tactics.
