Hon Osakwe Chukwuka Felicitates with the Good People of Ndokwa West on Easter Celebration

Hon. Osakwe Chukwuka (Yankees), CDC Chairman, Umusam Ogbe, has extended warm Easter greetings to the good people of Ndokwa West as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He stated that Easter remains a season of hope, renewal, and sacrifice, urging everyone to reflect on the virtues of love, unity, and selflessness which the season represents.

He prayed that the joy and blessings of Easter will fill every home with peace and happiness, while also bringing renewed strength, progress, and prosperity to Ndokwa West.

The Ndokwa Political Actions Committee (NPAC) notes with deep concern the recent participation of Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, at a five-day electricity retreat in Cairo, Egypt, organized by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

While we acknowledge the importance of capacity building and international collaboration, it is deeply ironic — and indeed troubling — that our representative is touring foreign power facilities and discussing advanced transformer technologies, whereas Ndokwa land and its people have remained in darkness for over two decades.

For more than 20 years, communities across our constituency have been denied access to stable electricity, despite being a region that contributes immensely to Nigeria’s energy wealth. To attend global retreats on electricity without taking visible, concrete steps to resolve our long-standing power crisis is not only misplaced but also a clear disconnect from the yearnings of the people.

As the saying goes, “Charity begins at home.” Our people do not need photo-ops abroad; we need light in our homes, schools, and businesses. We therefore call on Hon. Ezechi to:

1. Prioritize actionable steps towards ending Ndokwa’s decades-long blackout.

2. Engage with relevant agencies to ensure immediate power projects are initiated and completed in our constituency.

3. Be accountable to the very people whose mandate he carries.

Ndokwa deserves more than promises; Ndokwa deserves electricity.
