QUR’ANIC WALIMAH OF AISHA MUHAMMAD MA’ALI (HUMAIRAH)

The Qur’anic Walimah of Aisha Muhammad Ma’ali (Humairah), daughter of Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali, the Executive Chairman of Lavun Local Government Council, was successfully held today.

The occasion was graced by dignitaries and well-wishers, including Hon. Dr. Isah Baba Bida, Executive Chairman of Katcha Local Government, and Rt. Hon. UM Manko, Danmaje Nupe, who represented all the Zone A Local Government Chairmen.

Also in attendance were the Lavun Local Government Party Executives led by Alh. Idris Saba Jipan, APC party faithful, and people of Lavun, who came out in large numbers to celebrate with the family.

Hon. Mohammed Sani Abbas represented Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi, Chief of Staff to the Niger State Government, and Hon. Adamu Suleiman Kpautagi, APC Chairman, Lavun Local Government, represented Hon. Sani Idris Legbo Kutigi.

Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali sincerely appreciates everyone who took out time to attend, support, pray, and celebrate with his family, especially the good people of Lavun Local Government.

Strengthening the APC for Greater Success.

Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali, the Executive Chairman of Lavun Local Government, today met with the Lavun Local Government APC Party Executives, led by Alh. Mohammed Idris Saba Jipan, alongside all 12 Ward Chairmen, to deliberate on the development and future of the party at the grassroots.

The meeting focused on strengthening the APC across Lavun Local Government, enhancing unity among party members, and discussing practical strategies to ensure continued progress and success in the forthcoming elections.

Hon. Ma’ali emphasized the importance of collaboration, loyalty, and sustained grassroots engagement, noting that a united APC remains the foundation for delivering more democratic dividends and advancing the development of Lavun Local Government.

Strengthening Unity, Building a Stronger APC.

Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali, the Executive Chairman of Lavun Local Government, joined the APC flag bearer for the Lavun State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Umar Edobaba, alongside party leaders and faithful, on a reconciliation tour across Lagun, Dassun, Kutigi, Dabban, and Batati wards.

The visit focused on engaging APC executives, stakeholders, and party members to promote unity, strengthen the party’s structure, and reaffirm the shared commitment to the progress of Lavun Local Government.

At every stop, the delegation received a warm reception from party faithful, who commended Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali for his grassroots leadership and inclusive style of governance. They assured the delegation that APC is well-positioned for victory and pledged their full support for the party. They also reaffirmed their commitment to mobilize support for APC from top to bottom in the forthcoming elections.

PUBLIC CLARIFICATION!

The Lavun Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma’ali wishes to reassure the general public that there is no misunderstanding, dispute, or conflict between Lavun Local Government Council and Bida Local Government Council. Both Local Governments continue to enjoy a cordial and productive relationship, while the Executive Chairmen maintain mutual respect and are working closely together in the interest of peace, justice, and the welfare of our people.

It has come to our attention that some individuals have misinterpreted recent developments and are attempting to twist the narrative, creating the false impression that there is a disagreement between the two councils. We wish to state categorically that this is untrue.

For the avoidance of doubt, the earlier statement issued by Lavun Local Government Council was never intended as an attack on Bida Local Government Council, the Bida Emirate, or any individual or institution. Any interpretation suggesting hostility or confrontation was a misunderstanding of the Council's intention. Lavun Local Government values its longstanding relationship with Bida Local Government and remains committed to maintaining peace, unity, and cooperation.

Lavun Local Government Council fully supports every lawful effort aimed at addressing immorality, protecting minors, and ensuring that anyone found culpable is dealt with in accordance with the law. The Council has zero tolerance for any act that threatens the moral values and safety of our communities.

Furthermore, Lavun Local Government is actively ready to support and collaborate with Bida Local Government and the relevant committee to ensure that necessary corrections are made. Our concern goes beyond the Kakaki Event Centre alone. We are committed to identifying and addressing any similar acts wherever they may occur and will continue to work with all relevant stakeholders to prevent such incidents from recurring.

We therefore appeal to members of the public to refrain from making unnecessary, inflammatory, or misleading comments capable of creating tension between our communities. Let us allow the ongoing collaboration between both Local Governments to achieve its intended purpose in the interest of peace and development.

Together, Lavun and Bida Local Government Councils remain united in promoting peace, upholding morality, protecting our children, and ensuring that the rule of law prevails.

PUBLIC CLARIFICATION!

The attention of the Lavun Local Government Council has been drawn to reports and social media posts claiming that the Executive Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma'ali, personally empowered farmers in Lavun Local Government with red potato planting vines.

For the avoidance of doubt, this information is incorrect.

The programme was organized by the Federal Government of Nigeria/International Fund for Agricultural Development – Value Chain Development Programme (FGN/IFAD-VCDP), Niger State, which distributed certified bio-fortified (Vitamin A) red potato planting vines to selected farmers.

Note:
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma'ali, attended the programme in support of the initiative and joined officials during the distribution, demonstrating the Council's commitment to agricultural development. However, the distribution of the planting vines and other support they might have recieved were not empowerment initiatives of Lavun Local Government Council, but interventions by FGN/IFAD-VCDP.

The programme is aimed at increasing agricultural productivity, enabling rural people to overcome poverty, improving livelihoods, and strengthening food security across grassroots communities.

We kindly urge members of the public and media practitioners to report the programme accurately to avoid creating a false impression about its source or sponsorship.

Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma'ali, the Executive Chairman of Lavun Local Government Council, today attended the Free Medical Outreach organized by the Doko Health Professional Association in collaboration with the National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria (NARD), Niger State Branch, at the Doko Primary Health Care Centre.

The outreach offered free general health check-ups and treatment, minor surgical services, as well as health counseling and medical advice to residents of Doko and neighboring communities, bringing quality healthcare closer to the people.

Hon. Muhammad Alfa Ma'ali commended the Doko Health Professional Association and its partners for organizing the laudable initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will positively impact the health and well-being of people in Doko and surrounding communities. He urged the organizers to sustain such humanitarian programmes for the benefit of the people and assured them of his readiness to support initiatives that promote quality healthcare across Lavun Local Government.

The Chairman also interacted with patients, encouraging them to prioritize their health by seeking medical attention whenever necessary, follow professional medical advice, and adopt healthy lifestyles for the well-being of themselves, their families, and their communities.

The Chairman described the gesture as a demonstration of the government's commitment to providing the necessary support for public office holders to effectively carry out their responsibilities. He expressed confidence that the official vehicle would further enhance the Vice Chairperson's capacity to serve the people of Lavun Local Government with dedication, efficiency, and commitment.
