As the chairman of Lavun Youth Congress, my Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) focus on promoting youth development, empowerment, and community engagement. Here are some of my potential KPIs in KRAs(key result areas)
- *Youth Empowerment*
- *Training and Capacity Building*: 52 Number of youth trained in skills development programs, ( solar and borehole maintenance) providing them with working tools. entrepreneurship, and leadership.
- *Economic Opportunities*: Number of youth-led projects or businesses supported through funding, mentorship, or networking.( Through Geep initiatives) organize by federal government through state, six members from Lavun through LYC.
- *Community Engagement*
- *Youth Participation*: Level of youth participation in decision-making processes, community events, and volunteer activities.( One time produce councilor who serve as speaker legislative council in Lavun, about to provide local government council chairman, A Radio program air at power FM 100.5 Bida, title Lavun chizoo egawama),
- *Community Outreach*: Number of community outreach programs organized or supported by the Lavun Youth Congress.( Provision of yearly scholarship to outstanding students of Lavun through our stakeholder Alh Ibrahim like sosa, provision of school chairs and school materials, books, uniform for pupils in primary schools in Lavun LG)
- *Advocacy and Policy Influence*
- *Policy Reforms*: Progress made in advocating for policy reforms or implementations that benefit youth and the community.( Presentation of comprehensive budget document on education to align with unesco 26 Percent of total budget of a nation to be channel to education to attain quality education, submitted to Niger state ministry for budget and planning during 2024 town hall budget meeting at Gbako local government Lemu.
- *Partnerships*: Number of partnerships established with government agencies, NGOs, or private sector organizations to support youth development initiatives.( LYC partners with Timeout 4 African basketball education to provide sitting chairs at Bukari primary school, renovation of tskogi primary school in Doko, LYC partner with National Directorate of employment (NDE) to give certificate to the trained youths by LYC in borehole and solar maintenance, partnering with digital skill firm, partnering with Ma'ali foundation, sesters collections, and also Rifan program)
- *Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution*
- *Conflict Resolution*: Number of conflicts resolved or mitigated through mediation, dialogue, or other peacebuilding initiatives.( LYC intervene in the crises of Doko, by organizing a symposium which lead to paper presentation by our own erudite scholar prof. Abdullahi Mann futmx, the local government council of Lavun assign LYC to intervene in political crises at rugga chibbon during the tenure of Alh Ibrahim Limanko pata, peace intervention by LYC in sosa Gbade and fokpo crises, lead by the secretary and now flag bearer of chairmanship APC, Hon Ma'ali, LYC did her best in terms of dialogue in the crises of Gaba and Anfani village, infact LYC lost one of her member in the conflict, mall Baba Gaba. May Allah forgive his soul.
- *Peacebuilding Initiatives*: Number of initiatives organized to promote peace, tolerance, and unity among youth and community members.( Organizing of yearly AGM which brings Lavun lites together to discuss peace unity and way forward of the Local government.
- *Organizational Effectiveness*
- *Membership Engagement*: Level of engagement and participation of members in Lavun Youth Congress activities.( A very robust grassroot engagement across the 12 WARD going on by LYC in physical and through watapp platform)
- *Resource Mobilization*: Ability to mobilize resources (financial, human, or material) to support the organization's objectives.( Limited resources are gather through individual support and great support by the critical stakeholders of LYC to keep the youths engage)
These KPIs which we believe align with the organization's mission, vision, and specific goals, and be tailored to the needs and context of Lavun Local Government.
