I just received a very disturbing video from a village community, and I believe this urgently requires the attention of relevant authorities, human rights organizations, community leaders, security agencies, and well-meaning Nigerians.

An elderly woman was publicly accused of witchcraft by members of her community. According to the accusations, she allegedly collected something from another woman and was blamed for causing spiritual harm and death. Without any proper investigation or legal process, the woman was dragged to an open field, surrounded by villagers, beaten, humiliated, and at some point stripped naked before the crowd.

This is deeply heartbreaking and unacceptable. No human being deserves to be treated this way based on accusations, fear, superstition, or mob judgment. Violence, public humiliation, and jungle justice cannot be accepted in any society.

I am calling on the relevant authorities, human rights bodies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and security agencies to urgently intervene before this situation escalates further or leads to loss of life.

If anyone knows organizations, media houses, activists, or authorities that can help rescue this woman and restore peace in the community, please speak up and help amplify this message.

We must protect human dignity, uphold justice, and say NO to mob violence.

The Widows’ Prayer Conference organized by Buhknom Development Foundation took place on the 27th–28th March at ECWA Church, Kushamfa A, bringing together over 155 widows from 15 communities.
This impactful gathering focused on:
Spiritual revival and total dependence on God
Financial empowerment and self-reliance
Skill acquisition and business mentorship
Healing, restoration, and testimonies
Theme: “Arise and Build Again” (Proverbs 31:16–18; 2 Kings 4:1–7)
Also: “Trusting God Completely” (1 Timothy 5:5)
Highlights include:
Powerful prayer sessions for widows and communities
Real-life business testimonies from widows
Training on income-generating skills (e.g., shea butter production)
Bible quiz and community participation
Testimonies of healing and transformation
Despite challenges such as insecurity and hardship, these widows are rising with faith, strength, and resilience.

Our widows project December 2025 featuring, worship, Bible quizzes and distribution of clothing and food items, 53 widows were impacted from 3 different communities.

What Next

In this year 2026
We will be having our first widows conference targeting 500-1000 Widows' from 20 different communities.

Theme : A Widow that honour God .

We are trusting God that we will provide free feeding during the 3 days conference featuring worship, Bible quizzes, sword drill competition distribution of food items, sewing machine and other tools that will empower them to be independent, clothing etc. you can be part of this by praying, supporting in kind or cash or donating the items.
