RAMADAN (A Poem By Jamilusultan)
Allahumma Ballighna Ramadan bil Iman
Fasting means al- sawm in Arabic
It's one of the five pillers of Islam
Observed in the 9th month of the Islamic calendar cosmopolitan
It's the month of blessings & forgiveness
The month in which the healthy Muslim faithful were mandated to fast from dust to sunset, like the nation before them(Q.2 v. 183),
While the
Sick,
Lactational mothers,
travellers,
Younger ones,
Me**es maidens,
Pregnant women,
Elderly ones are exempted to fast.
Ramadan is like the rain, it nourishes the seed of good deeds
Fasting is about conquering human pride to connect with God
It was the month in which the scripture (Qur'an) was revealed
Recitation of the Qur'an was encouraged
The devils are chained
Reward for good deeds are multiple
Supplications were heavily enjoined both day & night
Assisting the needy even with halve of a is date attract rewards.
The doors of paradise (Janat) are opened
While that of hell are closed
The fasted brethren are enjoined to engaged in rewarding deeds
And deviate from sinful deeds
The sealed of the prophet said in his authentic hadith that;
Any Muslim who comes out of Ramadan without gaining forgiveness! He is a real loser
May Allah spare our lives to be among those to fast this year 1443/2022 Ramadan and may our sin be forgiven and earns us Allah's blessings.
