Building Impact begins with Leaders

Tomorrow, Deafzion Empowerment Foundation will be hosting a Volunteer & Leaders Capacity Building Training, a one-day session designed to equip our internal team with practical leadership skills, teamwork strategies, and the right mindset for meaningful community engagement.

We are honoured to have as our facilitator, a Nigerian Social Entrepreneur, Youth Development Advocate, and Co-Founder of Young Minds Empowerment Initiative, whose work has reached over 10,000 students across 20 public schools through partnerships with the Ministry of Education. His initiatives have helped hundreds of young people gain hands-on exposure to digital and entrepreneurial skills.

He is also a trained psychologist from the University of Ibadan and an alumnus of Lagos Business School, with a strong passion for bridging the gap between education, skills, and employability.

We are excited for an impactful session as we continue strengthening the people behind the mission.

What’s the link between EDUCATION and MENTAL HEALTH?🤔

Education is one of the strongest tools for building long-term mental wellbeing and creating a healthier society.📚

When people are educated, they gain knowledge, confidence and life skills that help them understand themselves, manage emotions and make better decisions. Education also reduces ignorance and stigma around mental health, encouraging people to speak up, seek help and support others.

More importantly, education creates opportunities. When young people have access to learning, guidance and support, they are less likely to feel hopeless, isolated, or trapped.

That’s why we believe education is not just about academics, it is about EMOTIONAL STRENGTH, PURPOSE and a BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE.

At Deafzion Foundation, will always champion EDUCATION and MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS!!!

Meet Our Graduated TechAble Digital Inclusion Fellows

At Deafzion Empowerment Foundation, we are committed to empowering youths with disabilities with the right skills, confidence and support system to thrive.

Through our digital inclusion initiative TechAble, we successfully trained and graduated an inspiring group of fellows after an intensive 1-month program focused on digital skills and leadership development.

During this fellowship, our participants went through structured learning, practical assignments, personal development sessions and leadership training designed to prepare them for real opportunities in today’s digital world.

One of the major highlights of the program was connecting our fellows to experienced mentors in Nigeria and across Africa, who provided guidance, motivation and career direction.

We celebrate every fellow for their dedication, growth, and resilience.This graduation is not the end; it is the beginning of greater impact.

We are not just breeding tech-inclined leaders; we are empowering young people—especially persons with disabilities who have experienced inequality and marginalization to develop the skills, confidence, and capacity to create meaningful change for themselves and their communities.
