Trees are a source of life, shade, and sustenance. Caring for them is not only an environmental duty but also a form of sadaqatul jariyah whose blessings continue long after us. Cutting down trees recklessly, however, brings devastating effects on our land, our health, and our livelihoods.

In a remarkable effort towards a greener future, Youth Journey on Total Greenland (YJTG) recently organized a climate awareness session and successfully planted 25 seedlings across the faculty.

The program brought together passionate young people and leaders committed to environmental change. Among those present were members of Climate Aqua Youth Alliance (CAYA), including our Founder, HOD, and Coordinator, who actively participated and showed their support.

This initiative highlights the vital role of students and youth in driving climate action and promoting sustainable solutions. Together, we continue to prove that students are indeed change makers!

Let’s keep inspiring innovation in green efforts and join hands for reforestation, conservation, and a sustainable tomorrow.

CAYA Leads Awareness and Tree Planting Campaign at Al-Ikhlas College of Health Science & Technology wudil, Kano State.

4th September, 2025

The Climate Aqua Youth Alliance (CAYA) successfully carried out an Awareness and Tree Planting Campaign at Al-Ikhlas College of Health Science & Technology as part of its drive to promote environmental sustainability and climate awareness.

As part of the initiative, 100 seedlings — including fruit trees — were donated and planted across the college campus, enriching the landscape and contributing to long-term conservation efforts.

The campaign was officially flagged off by the Proprietor of the college, alongside the Provost, Registrar, Accountant, HOD, Secretary, staffs, and students, who warmly welcomed the team, appreciated the effort, and pledged to support the initiative. They also expressed readiness to partner with CAYA in future environmental programs whenever needed.

CAYA reaffirmed its commitment to empowering youth for climate action and pledged to extend similar greening efforts to more communities, Insha’Allah. 🌍💚
