The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), in partnership with New Turn for Youth Enthusiasm and Development (N-YED), has successfully conducted a one-day ceremonial event for the graduation of 20 beneficiaries who underwent an 8-week intensive training in Digital Marketing and Graphic Design under the Project Youth Out of School Creativity Filter Training (YouthSCREAFT).

The first batch of the project was piloted with 20 participants in Medile Community and will continue batch after batch across Kano State.

The project aims to empower out-of-school youth with practical knowledge and hands-on skills, enabling them to explore their talents and creativity and become self-reliant.

On behalf of N-YED, we convey our sincere appreciation to CITAD for supporting the project. We also extend our appreciation to the leaders of Medile Community for their cooperation and support. Their commitment made the project widely accepted and community-owned.

Our Executive Director, Amb. Abdussalam Haruna Sulaiman had the opportunity to be hosted on Premier Radio today, where we discussed our previous activity organized by New Turn For Youth Enthusiasm and Development, N-YED.

Our discussion centered on the "Youth Voices in Good Leadership" platform launched by N-YED, and a one-day sensitization on active participation of youth in the electoral process and good leadership skills, conducted under the newly unveiled platform.

I was accompanied by Marvolus John, a staff member of N-YED, and Rabiat Sagagi, Director of Voice Her Africa.

We had the privilege of hosting Amb. Maimunatu Umar Shariff Special Adviser to the Kano State Government on Community Policing, as our Special Guest at our one-day sensitization program on active youth participation in the electoral process and good leadership skills.

Despite her tight schedule, she attended the program due to her unwavering commitment, dedication, and service to the people of Kano State.

In her keynote address, she emphasized the importance of youth participation in the electoral process and leadership. She also reaffirmed her commitment to supporting young people to thrive in leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

We sincerely appreciate her presence and contribution to the success of our program.

The panel session was held during a one-day sensitization on active youth participation in the electoral process and good leadership skills.

Youth are the backbone of every developed society, yearning to retain, explore, and uphold its posture and dignity around the globe.

In Nigeria, the National Youth Development Plan captures the needs, challenges, barriers, and solutions for the intergenerational progress of our nation.
Does this plan work effectively for youth? If not, what are the problems and gaps? Why are young people failing to step into leadership roles in civil society, government, and institutions?

*New Turn for Youth Enthusiasm and Development (N-YED)* has successfully launched a sensitization platform for youth. The platform creates a space for youth engagement in the electoral process and fosters future leaders who are informed, motivated, and enthusiastic about shaping the future of society.

As part of this commitment, we held a one-day sensitization on active youth participation in the electoral process and good leadership skills. The goal was to foster a culture of civic engagement, empower youth with leadership and advocacy skills, and reduce apathy in the electoral process.

We sincerely appreciate our guests, facilitators — Barr. Nura Ahmad Mufarka and Tijjani DAG — our panelists — Bash M. Bash, Barr. Nazirah Mohammed, Shehu Abdullahi, and Amb. Abdussalam Haruna Sulaiman — and our moderator, Jamila Musa.
