ThriveHer Health Initiative is proud to highlight our strategic partnership with the Office of the Chairman, Kumbotso Local Government Area, which played a significant role in the successful implementation of the Menstrual Emergency Response (MER) Project at Government Girls Secondary School, Danmaliki, Kano State.

The Honourable Chairman, Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki, graced the occasion with his presence, demonstrating strong leadership commitment towards improving the health, education, and well-being of adolescent girls within the community.

During the event, the Honourable Chairman officially commissioned the Pad Bank, an initiative established by ThriveHer Health Initiative to address menstrual-related absenteeism caused by menstrual poverty and ensure that girls have access to essential menstrual hygiene support while in school.

In recognition of his outstanding support, advocacy, and commitment towards advancing community health and girls’ empowerment, ThriveHer Health Initiative presented the Honourable Chairman with an Award of Honour.

We remain grateful to the Office of the Chairman, the Supervisory Councillor for Health, our partners, volunteers, and all stakeholders who contributed to making this intervention possible.

We also sincerely appreciate the invaluable support and contributions of the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Kumbotso LGA, Hon Haruna Idris Shuaibu whose support and collaboration contributed to the successful ex*****on of the project.

Together, we are building a community where every girl can learn, thrive, and reach her full potential without being limited by menstrual challenges.

ThriveHer Health Initiative has successfully conducted the Menstrual Emergency Response (MER) Project at Government Girls Secondary School, Danmaliki, Kano State.

The project was an impactful step towards addressing menstrual challenges faced by adolescent girls through menstrual health education, open conversations, and the donation of a Pad Bank to the school.

The Pad Bank initiative was established to help tackle menstrual-related absenteeism caused by menstrual poverty, ensuring that girls have access to emergency menstrual hygiene products when needed, enabling them to remain in school, confident, and fully engaged in their education.

We sincerely appreciate our valued partners, supporters, volunteers, and stakeholders whose commitment, collaboration, and contributions made the success of this project possible.

Your support continues to strengthen our efforts towards promoting menstrual dignity, improving health awareness, and creating sustainable solutions for girls in our communities.

At ThriveHer Health Initiative, we remain committed to empowering girls, promoting health education, and building a future where no girl misses school because of menstruation.

Together, we are creating healthier, stronger, and more inclusive communities.

I had the distinct honor of representing Thriveher health initiative at the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, following my nomination by the Executive Director. Attending this significant event as the Deputy Executive Director was both a privilege and a valuable learning opportunity.

The program brought together participants from diverse organizations and professional backgrounds, creating a conducive environment for meaningful interaction, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. Following the introductory session, participants shared their personal and professional experiences. Those who had previously visited the United States also reflected on how the experience had influenced their perspectives, leadership, and community engagement. These discussions offered valuable insights and inspired thoughtful conversations among attendees.

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to network with representatives of various organizations. These engagements enabled the exchange of ideas, the establishment of new professional relationships, and a deeper appreciation of the different approaches organizations are adopting to address challenges within their communities.

As part of the day’s activities, participants also visited a correctional center. The visit provided a unique opportunity to observe aspects of the correctional system and encouraged meaningful reflection on rehabilitation, human dignity, and the importance of community support in promoting positive social outcomes.

Overall, the event was highly informative and impactful. It reinforced the value of leadership, collaboration, cultural exchange, and strategic partnerships in driving sustainable community development. I sincerely appreciate the Executive Director for entrusting me with the responsibility of representing our initiative at such a remarkable occasion. The knowledge gained, relationships established, and experiences acquired will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening our organization’s mission and future engagements.

🌸 Introducing the Menstrual Emergency Response Project (MER Project) 🌸

We are excited to officially introduce the Menstrual Emergency Response Project (MER Project), powered by ThriveHer Health Initiative.

Born from our earlier Pad Bank Initiative, the MER Project is a more comprehensive approach to addressing menstrual emergencies in schools. The project is designed to ensure that girls who experience unexpected menstruation during school hours have access to immediate support, allowing them to remain confident, comfortable, and focused on learning.

Our vision is a future where every school is equipped to respond to menstrual emergencies and every girl can manage her period with dignity and uninterrupted access to education.

Because no girl should have to miss a lesson, leave school, or lose confidence simply because of her period.

MER Project aims at ensuring no girl misses school due to menstruation.

❤️ Responding to Menstrual Emergencies. Keeping Girls in School.
