🚨 CALL FOR A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATHS OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN NIGER STATE

The Humanitarian and Charitable Foundation Association of Northern Nigeria (HUCHFAN) calls on the Federal Government and the Niger State Government to ensure a thorough, transparent, independent, and impartial investigation into the deaths of young people who reportedly died while in custody in Niger State.

We call on the relevant authorities to:

🔹 Establish the actual cause and circumstances surrounding the deaths.

🔹 Ensure that the families of the deceased receive justice, adequate information, and appropriate support.

🔹 Investigate whether there was any misconduct, negligence, abuse, or violation of human rights.

🔹 Ensure that anyone found responsible for wrongdoing is held accountable in accordance with the law.

🔹 Guarantee that the fundamental rights, dignity, and lives of people in government custody are protected at all times.

HUCHFAN recognizes the responsibility of government agencies to enforce the law and combat illegal activities. However, law enforcement must always be carried out in accordance with the law and with full respect for human life and fundamental human rights.

We emphasize that this call is not a pre-judgment of any individual or institution. Rather, it is a call for truth, transparency, accountability, and justice through a credible investigation.

The lives lost deserve answers. Their families deserve justice. The public deserves the truth.

Gamayyar Gidauniyoyin Jin Kai da Agaji ta Arewacin Najeriya (Humanitarian and Charitable Foundation Association of Northern Nigeria HUCHFAN) ta yi kira ga Gwamnatin Tarayya da Gwamnatin Jihar Niger da su tabbatar da an gudanar da cikakken bincike mai zaman kansa na gaggawa, na gaskiya da adalci kan mutuwar wasu matasa da aka tsare a Jihar Niger.

Rahotanni sun bayyana cewa mutane 37, da dama daga cikinsu matasa ne, sun mutu a hannun Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) bayan k**a su a wani samame da ya shafi ayyukan hakar ma’adinai. Har yanzu ana bukatar cikakken bayani kan ainihin musabbabin mutuwar da kuma yanayin da aka tsare su.

HUCHFAN na kira da:

🔹 A gudanar da bincike mai gaskiya, adalci da gaskiya ga jama’a.
🔹 A tabbatar da gano ainihin musabbabin mutuwar kowane daga cikin wadanda s**a rasu.
🔹 A saurari iyalan wadanda abin ya shafa tare da kare hakkokinsu.
🔹 Duk wanda bincike ya tabbatar da yana da hannu cikin rashin bin doka ko sakaci, a hukunta shi bisa doka.
🔹 A tabbatar da cewa duk wanda yake hannun gwamnati ana kare rayuwarsa, mutuncinsa da hakkokinsa.

Muna jaddada cewa bin doka da yaki da hakar ma’adinai ba zai zama dalilin tauye hakkin dan Adam ba. Haka kuma, wannan kira ba yana nufin yanke hukunci kafin bincike ba ne; manufarsa ita ce a tabbatar da gaskiya, adalci da kare rayukan al’umma.

Gwamnati ta yi adalci ga wadanda s**a rasa rayukansu, ta tallafa wa iyalansu, sannan ta tabbatar da cewa irin wannan lamari ba zai sake faruwa ba.
