SU LEADERSHIP VISITS FAMILY OF LATE ZAHARADEEN NUHU, EXTENDS CONDOLENCES AND REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE FOR THE DECEASED AND SAFETY FOR ALL STUDENTS

The Students' Union leadership, led by President Comr. Shafi'u Muhammad Abdullahi, today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Zaharadeen Nuhu in Kontagora, Niger State, following his tragic demise.

During the visit, the Union conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire student community of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi. The President prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family strength and patience.

The Union assured the family that efforts toward a thorough investigation will continue until justice is served. The leadership also reiterated its commitment to engaging relevant authorities to ensure accountability and prevent a recurrence of such incidents.

Among the entourage was the Deputy Speaker of the Student Representative Assembly, Comr. Mustapha Abdulrahman, who is also the President of the National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS), along with other students from Niger State.

May Allah (SWT) grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort all those affected. Ameen.

As we resume for the second semester, we acknowledge the concerns raised by the recent security challenges experienced around our university community.

We wish to reassure all students that the Students' Union remains committed to engaging relevant authorities and stakeholders on matters concerning students' welfare and safety. We encourage students to stay alert, adhere to security advisories, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

EID AL-ADHA: SU PRESIDENT EXTENDS FELICITATIONS TO MUSLIM STUDENTS AND THE ENTIRE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

The Students’ Union President, Comrade Shafi’u Muhammad Abdullahi, warmly felicitates with the entire Muslim Ummah, particularly the students of our great institution, on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.

The President describes Eid al-Adha as a sacred season that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, faith, and compassion, as exemplified by the noble teachings and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He urges students to embrace these virtues and continue to promote unity, peace, tolerance, and mutual respect within and outside the campus community.

He further encourages students to use the occasion to pray for the continued progress of the institution, the Students’ Union, and the nation at large, while also remembering the less privileged through acts of kindness and generosity.

Comrade Shafi’u Muhammad Abdullahi prays that Almighty Allah (SWT) accepts the sacrifices and acts of worship of the Muslim faithful, grants everyone peace, good health, academic success, and abundant blessings.

The President also advises all students to remain peaceful, responsible, and security conscious throughout the festive period.

Once again, he wishes all Muslim students and the entire university community a peaceful and memorable Eid al-Adha celebration.

AFUSTA TRADE FAIR: A CALL FOR FUBK VENDORS

This is to inform all student entrepreneurs that the Students' Union Government of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA), will be holding a Trade Fair tomorrow, 19/04/2026. The event aims to provide vendors with an opportunity to showcase their products and connect with potential customers.

Due to the cordial relationship between our institution and AFUSTA, the Students' Union Government has allocated us five (5) slots to present our vendors at the Trade Fair.

Interested student entrepreneurs who wish to participate should send a DM or contact 08107269239.

Note: Only five (5) slots are available, and participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
