A courtesy visit was paid by the team to the leadership of the Budget and Planning Commission, Kaduna.
A session was held with the Honourable Commissioner, Budget and Planning Commission, as well as the Director General, SDGs Kaduna State.
The team was led by the NYSC Schedule Officer, Kaduna State, Hajiya Jamila Tafarki, and the Kaduna South SDGs Schedule Officer, Mrs. Jane Salihu Ikang.
Reports on projects carried out and projects currently underway were presented by the Presidents of both Kaduna North/Igabi and Kaduna South.
Progress, challenges, and lessons drawn from projects being executed across their respective LGAs were shared by Corps members and the schedule officers. Corps members were advised by the DG SDGs to be more open-minded and always keep the SDGs Kaduna office informed of their activities as they would always provide technical support and guidance where needed in advancing the cause of Development Goals.
Furthermore, Corps members were encouraged to ensure that their work is properly documented, and that monitoring and evaluation are carried out to measure the impact of projects, serving to provide evidence-based data and informed statistical documentation.
