Revd. Fr. Matthew Stephen Kabirat is a priest of the Archdiocese of Kaduna. He did his philosophical studies in St. Augustine Seminary, Jos, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in philosophy. From there, he proceeded to Good Shepherd Seminary Kaduna, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in theology. After his theological studies, he was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Kaduna on July 8, 2021 by His Grace Most Revd. Matthew Man'oso Ndagoso. His first assignment as a priest was at Holy Family Parish in Barnawa, where he served as an assistant parish priest for two years. On July 12, 2023, Fr. was sent on Mission to the Diocese of Kontagora in Niger State, Nigeria. Upon his arrival in Kontagora Diocese, he assisted at St. Joseph's Agwara for a period of four months and two weeks (August 31, 2023, to January 12, 2024). From there, he was appointed the parish priest of St. Patrick's Kwangwara, where he's presently serving.
Fr. Kabirat is the founder of Breaking the Faith Platform. An online platform that has Catholics and non-Catholics alike educated on their faith, the Bible, and happy living. His pastimes include reading, writing, singing, playing football, and chess. Fr. enjoys writing daily reflections. He has also served as a panellist, discussing vital topics and presented papers at workshops and gatherings. His philosophy of life is "live simply in order others may live".
