Global Initiative for Women & Children - GIWAC GIWAC was initiated with the purpose of reaching out to vulnerable women and children.

GIWAC was founded as a non-governmental, non-profit oriented organization on 1/1/03 in Kaduna, Nigeria, with the purpose of reaching out to vulnerable women and children. The primary objective has been to relieve the sufferings of these under served segments of our society by undertaking advocacy activities to promote specific causes, influence policies and practices to improve the quality of thei

r lives. GIWAC obtained a Corporate Affairs Status in July 2007 with Registration No. CAC/IT/25274, the registration and new legal status created an enabling environment for GIWAC to and expand its objectives by combining advocacy activities with operational activities and began the design and implementation of community-development projects starting with skills acquisition and trainings on income generating activities for poor and marginalized widows. GIWAC also took up the provision of mini-scholarship support for indigent kid of widows through paying part of the educational fees of the children to mention but few

Global Initiative for Women and Children Provides Food Relief to Vulnerable Families

With the generous support of Hon. Bello El-Rufai, Global Initiative for Women and Children (GIWAC) recently distributed essential food items to vulnerable families in need.

Food Items Distributed
The food relief package included:
- Beans
- Millet
- Spaghetti
- Palm oil
- Tom Brown
- ⁠Milk
- ⁠Crayfish
- ⁠Golden Morn
- Macaroni
- Sugar
- ⁠Medicated Soap

Beneficiaries
The food items were distributed to:
- Widows and orphans
- Single mothers
- Children from low-income families

Impact
This initiative aimed to:
- Alleviate hunger and malnutrition
- Provide temporary relief to vulnerable families
- Foster a sense of community and solidarity
