This is a defining moment for Afaka Ward in our political journey.*
The possibility of having Rigasa recognized as a Local Government Area, with Afaka as its headquarters, would be a major breakthrough — one that promises lasting impact in terms of development, representation, and opportunity for our people.
Unfortunately, I’ve seen some online narratives pointing fingers and suggesting that certain individuals are trying to sabotage this historic effort. Such actions are not only disappointing but also go against the spirit of unity and progress that our community desperately needs.
Rather than focusing on blame, let’s address the root of this division. Some members of our community feel excluded — often due to political differences. And yes, there are those whose involvement seems driven by personal interest. But instead of allowing this to divide us, let’s use it as a reason to reflect, realign, and refocus on what truly matters: Afaka’s future.
This movement should not be about individuals or political affiliations — it should be about every man, woman, and youth in Afaka who believes in a better tomorrow. Together, united in purpose, we can achieve this dream.
Let us rise above differences, embrace dialogue, and move forward as one community — for the benefit of all.
