Happy International Women’s Day 2026
Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women around the world. At Mcrissar Foundation, we believe that empowering women is key to building stronger and more peaceful communities.
Access to sanitary and menstrual health products is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Every girl and woman deserves dignity, proper health, and the opportunity to live, learn, and thrive without barriers.
Women also play a vital role in peacebuilding within our communities. When women are included in leadership, dialogue, and decision-making, communities become more united, conflicts are better resolved, and lasting peace can be achieved.
We therefore advocate for greater access to sanitary products, increased opportunities for women, and stronger representation of women in politics and leadership. When women rise, communities grow, and peace becomes possible.
Today and every day, we celebrate women and renew our commitment to building a future of dignity, equality, and peace.

Yesterday, in Abuja, our Tech Officer, 'George T Bako, represented our Founder/CEO Barr Rabi Adamu Musa , at a high-level conference led by Global Rights Nigeria in partnership with 'Partners West Africa Nigeria' , 'The Kukah Center' ,' Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative' , and 'CERSDOV', with support from the UK in Nigeria, through the Integrated Security Fund (FCDO).

The conference focused on assessing measurable progress in:
• Inclusive peacebuilding
• Access to justice
• Gender-responsive security governance
• Community-led reform in Northwest Nigeria

Key lessons from the conversations and shared experiences were clear:

1️⃣ Partnership multiplies impact
2️⃣ Inclusion strengthens security
3️⃣ Stability builds trust
4️⃣ Structural change takes courage .

At Mcrissar Foundation, we remain committed to advancing inclusive systems, community engagement, and sustainable peace.

The evidence is clear: when inclusion is institutionalized, security outcomes improve.

International Human Rights Day 2025 / End of 16 Days of Action!!!

Today, as we close the 16 Days of Action, the team at Mcrissar Foundation stands together , proud, hopeful, and more committed than ever. Every year, we visit schools and communities across Kaduna State and beyond, raising awareness about rights, dignity, and respect for every child and every person.

Through interactive workshops, open conversations, and grassroots outreach, we have shared stories, listened to lived experiences, and helped young people understand that human rights are not abstract, they belong to each of us , at home, at school, in our communities.

On this International Human Rights Day, we celebrate our shared humanity. But today is not just a celebration , it is a call to action. Let’s carry the values we defended these past 16 days , respect, equality, protection, and empathy into every classroom, every home, every street.

Join us as we continue this journey. Because when everyone knows their rights, we all rise together.

Yesterday in Abuja, our Founder/CEO had the privilege of joining inspiring women as a panelist at the “Mentorship Workshop for Community Women Leaders from Kaduna” organized by Global Rights International and supported by the UK International Development.

I spoke about “finding your voice as a woman in peace building” and shared three key lessons that continue to guide my journey: listening, partnering, and resilience. We also explored how “empathy” can open pathways to understanding, and why it’s so important for women to support women.

At Mcrissar Foundation, we believe that when women are empowered to lead and collaborate, communities become stronger and more peaceful.

Some weeks ago in Kaduna, our Founder/CEO had the privilege of facilitating a training organized by Global Rights International in partnership with CERSDOV, under the Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRING) project.
During the session, she spoke about conflict and its impact on communities, exploring how it shapes relationships, access to resources, and the overall well-being of people.
This two-day training brought together Community Dialogue Committees (CDCs) for an intensive capacity-building session on dialogue, peacebuilding, non-punitive responses, and early warning approaches.
At the heart of this initiative lies a powerful truth: sustainable peace begins with communities.
From empowering women as drivers of inclusive peacebuilding to strengthening local mechanisms for early warning and response, the training created space for grassroots leaders, traditional institutions, gender advocates, and legal experts to collaborate for a more just and peaceful society.

Every girl deserves dignity, confidence, and equal opportunity , including during her period.
At Mcrissar Foundation, we are advocating for period equity, ensuring every girl has access to menstrual education, products, and support.
Menstruation is not a taboo; it’s a natural part of life.
We’re breaking the silence by raising male champions in schools, teaching boys to support and stand with girls.
Together, let’s build a world where no girl misses school, loses confidence, or feels shame because of her period.
Let’s talk. Let’s educate. Let’s normalize. 💪

PERIODS ARE NORMAL!!!
Did you know most girls get their first period between ages 8–16 years?
The question is : are we preparing them?

✨ Every girl deserves a “Menstrual Kit”:
👜 A small purse with…
✔️ Sanitary pad
✔️ Period underwear
✔️ Wipes
✔️ Hand sanitizer
✔️ Cream/perfume for confidence

Parents, start the conversation early. Let your daughter know there’s nothing to fear, periods are a normal part of life.

At Mcrissar Foundation ,we believe:
🌍 Periods are normal.
💖 Dignity is a right.
🙌 Together, we can break the taboo.

Powerful Conversations, Promising Connections!!!

Last week, our Founder/CEO had the privilege of meeting with two incredible nonprofit leaders in New York City , Jane Lutherback, Head at “The PurposeWorks” and “Judith Bruce” Senior Advisor and Board Member at “Population Council NY”.

The conversations centered on “collaboration, strategic partnerships” , and connecting with mission-aligned organizations for “resources, development” and “sustainable funding opportunities” These are the kinds of dialogues that move visions forward and build lasting impact.

We’re deeply inspired by their wisdom and support and we’re looking forward to doing even more together in the future.
