A very good day to you future STEWARDS!
We are so pleased to communicate to you the outcome of our meeting with an icon, a politician and a diplomat — Alhaji Murtala.
As we all know, there are some people in our societies who are role models, the lights that guide the societies from the darkness of ignorance and disintegrating into oblivion.
*Our meeting with him afforded four phases and were introduction, advice, question and the favour gained by the association:*
The Introduction Phase was just simple and short as can be seen above.
*The Advice Phase:*
*-We are the problems, he began.*
He insisted discipline among us or the youths.
Social discipline began with oneself.
For we to succeed require discipline.
*-importance of unity and justice:* He emphasised that unity and justice are critical elements of any movement and without them nothing can be achieved.
*-Tenacity:* it is also a sine qua non to success.
We can do the hardest work if we quietly suffer all the troubles and do not give up our efforts before it is accomplished.
*-Direct or indirect political involvement:* if we really want to influence some government policies to our vantage. We must either nominate political candidates from within the association or support other political candidates outside the association who can play according to our needs. Should the association propose/nominate its suitable candidates for an election to political offices, then a considerable amount of the youths would be better off.
-To be intimate with the Nigerian Constitution:
Being familiar with the constitution will help us play by the rules in demanding our constitutional rights.
Having done with the advice phase he then went head to asked us some important questions.
The Question Phase:
Bellow were the questions asked us;
-Self-employment.
-What are our efforts to reduce the rate of drug abuse in our community.
-What are we capable of doing if we know about governance.
-How do we finance the association.
However, the national coordinator critically perused the questions, used a few well-chosen words and proportionally answered them.
*The Favour Phase:*
In the end, our meeting with him earned us some favourAfter welcoming us with open arms, He was friendly to our interest which eventually led us to gain an amicable favour.
The favour from him is the promise to be helpful to the association in his capacity.
This is all we can bring to you.
Thank you all for your usual cooperation.
