Today, we celebrate 66 years of nationhood, resilience, and the unshakable spirit of the Nigerian people.

At GTICI Foundation, we see Nigeria's greatest resource not in what lies beneath our soil, but in the brilliance, creativity, and determination of our young people, especially the girls in underserved communities who are too often overlooked, yet carry within them the ideas that could shape our tomorrow.

Sixty-six years in, our story is still being written. Every girl we train in digital skills, every student connected to a teacher through www.edulinker.app, every young person who registers for a pathway into global opportunity, is a small but powerful chapter in the Nigeria we are building together: one of access, equity and limitless possibility.

As we mark this day, we recommit ourselves to that vision. Not just celebrating how far we have come, but actively building the Nigeria our children deserve.

Five years ago, I received a certificate as a Cohort 1 member of the HH MS II SDG Award, handed to me by the then Governor of Kaduna State, on His Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi's 60th birthday.
I share this not to reminisce, but to make a point i believe in strongly: recognition changes trajectories. A young, unknown builder in Northern Nigeria was handed a certificate and it became fuel for everything that followed.
As a social entrepreneur, i have spent years fighting for a simple idea: that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. I founded Girls for Tech and Innovation Competition Initiative (GTICI) because girls in underserved Northern Nigerian communities were being written out of the digital future before they even knew it existed. I built www.eduLinker.app because too many students are separated from the teachers who could change their lives, by distance, by cost, by systems that were never built with them in mind.
This is my advocacy, and i will not be quiet about it: Northern Nigeria does not have a talent problem. It has an access problem. Every certificate, every platform, every partnership that reaches a girl in a community the system forgot is a small correction to that imbalance and we need more people, more institutions and more leaders willing to make those corrections, deliberately and repeatedly.
That is exactly why GTICI is proud to be a registered pathway partner of the Gateway Program, powered by CcHub and Mastercard. This partnership means every young person in our community, especially our girls, can now access real digital skills training and GIG work opportunities that pay, opening doors to global work without leaving home.

We flagged off the Girls for Tech Innovators Club in 24 public schools across Kaduna State, and today we are proud of how far we have come.

What began as a vision to inspire girls to embrace technology has grown into a movement that is equipping young minds with digital skills, nurturing innovation, and building confidence for the future.

Today, we are not only supporting these girls, we are helping refine their ideas, strengthen their skills, and prepare them to become the next generation of tech innovators and leaders.

This is just the beginning, and we are excited about the impact still to come.
