On February 28, 2026, Akadon Cares Foundation successfully carried out its outreach program titled:
“Hope and Care Outreach: Nutrition and Essential Support for Orphans in Jos.”
The program was held at Jos Christian Refuge for Children Foundation, Jos, Plateau State, and it was a deeply meaningful and impactful experience.
As part of this initiative, 50 orphans and vulnerable children benefited from essential nutritional, educational, hygiene, and psychosocial support. Through the generosity of our partners and supporters, we were able to provide:
Food supplies including Rice, Beans, Palm Oil, and Groundnut Oil
Sanitary Pads for adolescent girls to promote safe and dignified menstrual hygiene
Toiletries such as soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste
Exercise books, pens, and pencils to support their academic learning and daily school activities
A brief psychosocial encouragement and interactive session filled with hope, laughter, mentorship, and motivation
Beyond the distribution of items, the outreach created a safe, joyful, and affirming space where the children felt seen, valued, and encouraged. The educational materials were particularly significant, as they reinforced our commitment not only to meeting immediate physical needs but also to investing in the long-term academic development of every child.
The smiles, active participation, and heartfelt gratitude from the children and caregivers reminded us why compassion-driven service matters. Each interaction affirmed our belief that practical support, when combined with emotional encouragement, can restore hope and strengthen resilience.
At Akadon Cares Foundation, we believe that every child deserves nourishment, dignity, quality education, and emotional support. Rising living costs should never deny vulnerable children access to basic care, learning tools, and the encouragement they need to thrive.
We sincerely appreciate our partners, donors, and volunteers who made this outreach possible. With your continued support, we remain committed to reaching more vulnerable communities, strengthening institutional care systems, and creating sustainable impact.
Together, we are nurturing growth and building stronger communities.
