We are happy to announce that Mercy Niangmupba Omale has completed her course with Jamie Pajoel Leadership University.
Mercy Niangmupba Omale is an educator, researcher, author, and community development advocate with a global footprint in leadership, gender advocacy, peacebuilding, and education. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Institute of Education, University of Jos (UNIJOS), where she contributes to teaching, academic mentoring, and the preparation of future educators and information professionals.
Her academic and professional interests include information literacy, user education, service delivery, and the strategic positioning of libraries as catalysts for learning, research, and community development.
Mercy is the author of two books: Rearview Reflections and A Ripple in Time, through which she explores themes of reflection, faith, leadership, Volunteering and intentional living. Her writing highlights the ripple effect of purposeful choices on individuals and communities.
She is the Founder of Daya’s Purple Foundation, a social impact organization focused on gender advocacy, literacy programmes, and access to quality education, with a mission to empower women, children, and underserved communities while addressing systemic inequalities.
A committed global volunteer, Mercy has collaborated, Volunteered with and supported initiatives across local and international platforms, including the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Youth for Human Rights International, GivingWay, GirlPower Foundation, GEAM Africa, The FAME Foundation, LEAP Africa, The YounStars Foundation (Female & More), Women in Leadership Initiative, Claire Aid Foundation, International Missions Opportunities, TEL-Revayah Impact Foundation, and Changemakers. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ochaworth Leadership and Community Development Initiative, contributing to governance, strategy, and community impact.
Mercy is a Changemaker with the Toyin Wiggins Center for Leadership and Mentoring Initiative (TWCLMI), a Peace Enthusiast with the Rotary Action Group for Peace (Nigeria Chapter), and an Ambassador with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP). She is also an alumna of the Harvard Aspire Leadership Program, reflecting her commitment to ethical, service-oriented, and globally informed leadership.
Mercy Omale continues to bridge education, authorship, leadership, gender advocacy, peacebuilding, and global volunteerism, using information, mentorship, and storytelling as tools for lasting transformation.
