The National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) Vom convened its leadership team in Abuja from March 3 to 5, 2026, for a focused Management Retreat, engaging the International Leadership Foundation (ILF Nigeria) to lead the leadership development sessions. The training, facilitated by Prof. Ibok alongside Dr. Lepan Arch. Jenet & Ishaya Ganya, was designed to strengthen leadership capacity and drive institutional performance.
The sessions created space for honest reflection and strategic alignment. A key theme emerged clearly: high-performing organizations are defined by results, not just activity.
Leaders engaged deeply around what it takes to achieve this, highlighting the importance of cooperation, strong teamwork, accountability, and intentional leadership. Conversations also explored critical areas such as vaccine production, research alignment, and operational effectiveness, with a strong focus on closing the gap between plans and ex*****on.
Beyond strategy, the retreat sparked a shift in mindset. Participants left with renewed clarity, shared responsibility, and a stronger commitment to excellence.
This engagement reflects ILF’s ongoing work in equipping organizations with the leadership structure needed to achieve measurable impact and long-term transformation.
