🌍 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
On behalf of the Society of Landscape Architects of Nigeria (SLAN), Plateau State Council, we join the rest of the world in celebrating World Environment Day.
Today reminds us that our environment is not just a backdrop to life, but the very foundation of our health, identity, and future. As landscape architects, we are committed to shaping spaces that restore ecological balance, promote sustainability, and enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
We call on governments, communities, and individuals to take responsibility in protecting our environment through:
Sustainable land use practices
Proper waste management
Tree planting and urban greening
Protection of natural ecosystems
Climate-conscious planning and design.
Plateau State, with its beautiful landscapes and unique ecology, deserves intentional care and stewardship. Let us work together to preserve its natural beauty while building resilient and livable communities.
Together, we design not just spaces but a sustainable future.
🌿 Happy World Environment Day 🌿
