HISTORY OF THE FOUNDATION
The foundation was born out of my innermost desire to show love and share the little I have with the needy. Early in life, I discovered that I was created and sent on a mission to touch lives positively through giving and showing unconditional love to humanity.
When I joined the University of Jos in 2009 as a lecturer ll, I noticed that some students were not allowed to write their exams because of non-payment of school fees. I was deeply touched. I saw frustration, hopelessness, and depression clearly written on the faces of the poor students who were prevented from writing their exams. That night I couldn’t sleep I related the issue to my husband and told him I must do something. He gave me the go-ahead and I felt so happy.
You know what, the act of charity is the greatest of all the gifts of God. If you don’t have the gift you will not be able to give even if you have billions in your account. Conversely, with the gift of charity, you can deprive yourself and share the little you have.
With the support of my husband, we started with final-year students of the Faculty of Law at, the University of Jos. We started with one Bukola who was selling moi-moi, and another who was selling water in wheelbarrow, (mai ruwa), Collins, and others. We later extended the help to other levels and other faculties. My children in other universities once in a while send names of some indigent students to us for help. We also pay law school fees and buy law wigs and gowns, shoes, wears, and other accessories for indigent students. We give them pocket money too depending on what is in our purse. I do have inner joy and peace, self-fulfilment whenever we meet the needs of the indigent students.
