The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis.โ€

Today, we celebrate every girl child, particularly our SSGCDI scholars. Their voices, their dreams, their strength, and their boundless potential.

At Sow a Seed for a Girl Child Development Initiative, we believe that every girl child deserves equal access to education, empowerment, and opportunities that will help her thrive in every sphere of life.

This day reminds us that when we invest in the girl child, we invest in a brighter, fairer, and more powerful future for all.

Therefore, letโ€™s stand together to create a world where girls are heard, valued, and given the freedom to lead, innovate, and shine without limits.

Here's to a future filled with hope, equal opportunities, and limitless possibilities.

Happy International Day of the Girl Child, 2025.

In our continuous effort to ensure that our scholars remain in school, the organization is still seeking donations to raise funds for the payment of the first term school fees of its scholars who resumed school on Monday, the 15th day of September, 2025, for the new academic session.

As tomorrow marks the beginning of week 2 of their school resumption, we are concerned, and at the same time afraid about the scholars not being driven home๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญdue to non-payment of the said first term fees.

More so, we have so many out-of-school children in our database awaiting enrollment by the organization in Bukuru and Gyel communities of Jos South LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria. Unfortunately, due to a lack of back-to-school supplies and funds to pay their tuition fees, we are constrained to enroll more this session.

We therefore humbly request you to kindly donate a minimum of #1000 towards this cause, to enable the organization to offset the fees of its 33 scholars and to also enroll more girls in school and provide them with all needed resources to aid their learning this season.

Thus, we are open to collaboration, or partnership with individuals, corporate organizations, and the government in giving the hope of education to more girls out there who are not privileged to see the four walls of a classroom, because we believe that together, we can make a difference.

For donations, kindly use our account with details below:๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Like every other child who resumed school yesterday, Fuki could not attend school due to a lack of educational materials to aid her learning, as schools across the state resumed for the new academic session. But her hope wasn't dashed out because our Executive Director, Khadijah Abdulhameed Muhammad, visited her school in Tanchol, Gyel earlier today to pay her first term school fees, and to also give her the needed materials such as exercise books, writing and drawing books, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and a pair of socks.

Fuki is presently in primary 4 as she happens to be among the girls our organization re-enrolled in school in 2023 when we launched the back-to-school campaign support project having found out that she dropped out of school due to an unending strike by the government school she attends in her community. And ever since then, she has been enjoying full sponsorship.

As an organization, we are still on a mission to enroll and re-enroll more out-of-school girls in school this term in both the Gyel and Bukuru community, and as such, our doors are open to receiving your stationery of any kind, other school supplies, and funds to pay their tuition fee, to enable more girls to have access to quality education just like their fellow counterparts.

For collaboration, partnership, or sponsorship, you can reach us on 08062562790 or email us at [email protected]

In our continuous efforts to ensure that no girl child is left out of school as a result of her circumstances, we are thrilled to announce the enrollment of Usaina Abubakar Ibrahim into a pre-nursery class at M&S International School, Bukuru, Jos South LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria, earlier today. She is a 4 year old orphan who lost her father as a result of a car accident and was never enrolled in school since then. Today was her first day in school, and we hope that the same will mark the beginning of greater things to happen in her life.

As an organization, our hope knows no bounds, walking the little orphan into her class and providing her with all the needed school supplies, as well as educational materials to aid her learning which include school uniforms, sandals, socks, school bag, exercise book and other writing materials. Although, we couldn't purchase textbooks for her due to shortage of funds and hoping for donations from individuals of like minds.

Our sincere appreciation goes out to the school management for their constant support in making sure that the likes of Usaina never lose hope of education as a result of losing a bred winner. And to our individual donors, you are always appreciated because without your unending support, our back-to-school project wouldn't have been a success throughout these years.

And to the mother of the motherles, the Executive Director of this organization, who, despite her academic program and tireless effort, ensures that the scholars resume school today like their fellow counterparts. we humbly appreciate you, ma, for all that you do for humanity as a way of giving back to society and your immediate community and for being the shoulder on whom these scholars lean.

In preparation for the first term school resumption scheduled for tomorrow the 15th day of September, 2025, a Seed for a Girl Child Development Initiative distributed 20 dozen exercise books including writing and drawing books, other writing materials, a pair of socks, as well as school uniforms to its scholars as schools prepare to reopen for the new academic session. The said distribution was personally championed by the Executive Director of the initiative, Khadijah Abdulhameed Muhammad, alongside other volunteers present.

We, therefore, most sincerely appreciate our individual donors for their continuous donations towards our back-to-school project, as this wouldn't have been a success without their unwavering support. Although most of the orphans were left without sandals, which we couldn't purchase due to a shortage of funds. Thus, we encourage those interested in donating to please kindly do so in order to enable us to provide the said sandals for them and to also pay their fees, because we believe that together, we can make a difference.

It's another school resumption season, and we're super excited with the preparations and efforts made thus far.

As a parent to the orphans and the less privileged girls whom we sponsor through school, we have so far purchased school uniform materials for 20 girls who have outgrown theirs and for schools with newly introduced school uniforms, out of the 30 girls we enrolled, which are presently with the tailors for them to be sewn, purchased 3 dozens of socks, a dozen of drawing book, 2 dozens of writing book, 3 dozens of pencils, and a pack of pen, eraser and sharpener. Unfortunately, we couldn't purchase exercise books, sandals, and school bags due to insufficient funds.

It is on this note, that we call on potential donors either private or corporate, to help us purchase 80, 60 and 40 leaves of the said exercise books respectively, different sizes of sandals from sizes 25 - 40, as well as the school bags in other enable our scholars to resume school on Monday, the 15th day of September, 2025 for the first term academic session like their counterparts, because we believe that together, we can make a difference.

Happy International Day of Education, 2025

Although Education is a fundamental right for all, yet, 119.3 million girls remain out of school globally according to the UN Women report.

As an organization whose main focus is on giving the gift of education to orphans and less privileged out-of-school children, particularly the girl child, we are indeed more reawakened and committed to ensuring that more out-of-school girls have access to quality education irrespective of their circumstances.

So far, we have enrolled 31 girls in school on scholarship and provided them with all the essential materials to aid their learning like their counterparts.

Therefore, this day has indeed reminded us to continue on our mission to provide a world where every girl child will pursue her dreams and attain her full potential.

In our continuous efforts to ensure that No Girl Child is left out of school as a result of her circumstances, we are thrilled to announce the enrollment of Fatima into a pre-nursery class at Premier Academy Bukuru, Jos South LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria, earlier today. She is a 2 and half year old orphan, who lost her father as a result of a ghastly motor accident. Today was her first day in school, and we hope that the same will mark the beginning of greater things to happen in her life. As an organization, our hope knows no bounds, walking the little orphan into her class and providing her with all the necessary educational materials to aid her learning, sandals, socks, and a school bag.

Our sincere appreciation goes out to the proprietor of the school for his constant support in making sure that the likes of Fatima never lose hope of education as a result of losing a bred winner, nor as a result of financial incapacitation of parents. And to our individual and corporate donors, you are highly appreciated, because without your unending support, our back-to-school project wouldn't have been a success throughout these years.

And to the mother of the motherless, Khadijah Abdulhameed Muhammad, the Executive Director of this organization, we humbly appreciate you for all that you do. Thanks for being the shoulder on whom these scholars lean.
