We Resume Work at CCAPAD with a Strong Pledge for Peace 🕊️
After a brief closure due to the recent unrest of in Jos, Plateau State, we are officially back to work at our headquarters, branches, formations and other structures. Our resumption wasn't just "business as usual" it was a powerful reaffirmation of our unity and commitment to humanity.
As a team of different faiths, tribes, and regions, we sat down with our Executive Director, Mr. Ahmed Salihu and reflected on the way forward thus;
Key Highlights:
• Management, staff and volunteers deeply reflected and shared personal stories of how the crises affect us, agreeing that violence bring only loss, destruction and retrogression.
• As strong believers and respecters of the sanctity of human life, we celebrated the historic bravery of Christians and Muslims in Plateau State who united together and protected one another even in the midst of the conflicts.
• Wisdom from our ED: "Peace is intangible; you only truly appreciate its value once you lost it. If you are a majority somewhere, you are a minority somewhere else."
Every staff member individually renewed their oath of allegiance to peace work by affirming their replies to the vital question: "Are you resolved to continue the path of peace?" With a resounding YES, we renewed our vow to build a more peaceful and stable society for generations yet unborn.
We invite our followers and the people of Plateau State to join us in this renewed commitment.
Indeed, our diversity is our greatest strength!
