Bringing TB Diagnosis Closer to the Community

Through the Wave11Plus Project, the deployment of the Pluslife MiniDoc in Kasuwan Dare, Mubi South LGA made TB testing more accessible to community members.

This strengthened local diagnostic capacity and ensured that individuals with positive results received timely linkage to treatment.

Together, we are expanding access to life-saving healthcare.

Every Clinic Visit is an Opportunity to Detect TB Early
Through the Heal 3 Project, routine outpatient services at FMC/Clinic A PHCC, Hong, were transformed into proactive TB screening points on 13th–14th June 2026.

Rather than waiting for symptoms to be reported, consenting adults were screened with the PDX Machine, helping identify TB cases earlier and connect people to care sooner.

Together, we are bringing TB services closer to the people who need them most.

Strengthening TB Detection in Adamawa State!

Janna Health Foundation has successfully completed the inception training for the HEAL 3 Project in Adamawa State — a major step toward improving tuberculosis (TB) case detection and care.

The project, “Optimizing Pulmonary Tuberculosis Case Finding,” is being implemented across four LGAs:
📍 Intervention: Hong & Song
📍 Control: Guyuk & Toungo

Healthcare workers and Community Volunteers came together for intensive sessions focused on:
✔️ TB awareness & management
✔️ Facility-based screening
✔️ Community-based Active Case Finding (ACF)
✔️ Universal Chest X-Ray (CXR) triage
✔️ Gender & Social Inclusion (GSI)

What this means:
This initiative is set to improve TB knowledge, boost screening and referrals, increase community awareness, and ultimately reduce missed TB cases across Adamawa State.

By strengthening both facility and community approaches, HEAL 3 will also generate critical evidence to inform TB policies and programs in Nigeria.

We’re proud of all participants and partners driving this important work forward. Together, we are building stronger systems for TB detection and care.
