THE BURNING FIRE

«“Kuteb are lions, and lions don't give birth to dogs.”»

A powerful reminder of identity, heritage, courage and the strength passed from one generation to another.

You can challenge a lion, but never expect it to forget where it comes from.

The fire continues.

THE ANNUAL “TAGBA” FESTIVAL OF THE ACHA CLAN — KUTEB NATION, SOUTHERN TARABA

The Tagba Festival is one of the major traditional festivals celebrated by the Acha Clan of the Kuteb Nation in Southern Taraba.

More than a festival, Tagba is a living expression of Kuteb identity, heritage, unity and ancestral memory a time when the people come together to honour their traditions, celebrate their cultural values and pass the wisdom of generations to those coming after them.

From the rhythms of traditional music to the display of cultural heritage, Tagba keeps the voice of the ancestors alive.
