EIDIL ADHA GREETINGS FROM THE OPEYEMI SHUKURAT ANDE FOUNDATION – TOSAF.

Eid Mubarak.

On this blessed occasion of Eidil Adha, The Opeyemi Shukurat Ande Foundation – TOSAF extends warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Muslims in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria, and across the world.

Eidil Adha reminds us of the values of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and care for one another. It is a time to reflect on Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and to renew our commitment to serving humanity, especially those who need us most.

At TOSAF, our mission is to stand with the widows, the aged, persons with disabilities, and the most vulnerable in our communities. On this festive day, we celebrate you, we honor your resilience, and we recommit ourselves to supporting your dignity, wellbeing, and hope for a better tomorrow.

May the spirit of Eid bring peace to your homes, healing to your hearts, and provision to your tables. May Allah accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us the strength to continue uplifting one another.

From all of us at The Opeyemi Shukurat Ande Foundation – TOSAF, we wish you and your loved ones a joyous, peaceful, and blessed Eidil Adha.

Eid Mubarak. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum.

Signed:

Alhamdulillahi for the success of our Ramadan outreach. What started as a small act of compassion became a moment of hope for many families.

We are truly grateful to Allah and to everyone who supported, prayed, donated, and stood with us. Your kindness made it possible to reach people who needed it the most.

This journey reminds us that when hearts come together for good, lives can be touched in beautiful ways.

Insha’Allah, we pray and hope to reach even more people next year and continue spreading love, care, and support to those who need it. 🤲

My Story. My Life.

My life has never been ordinary.
I was once married into royalty. My former husband holds the traditional staff of an Oba — a role deeply respected in Yoruba culture. In our tradition, an oba represents heritage, authority, and continuity.

But behind titles and culture, I was simply a woman trying to build a home.

When that marriage became bitter, I chose to leave — not out of rebellion, but for peace(he didnt end it, i ended it, i have the prove contrary to the narrative he is spitting). Although, he wanted settlement after many things have gone wrong, but i choose myself.

Three years later, I chose to remarry. That decision brought accusations I never imagined. I was blamed for the death of my wonderful husband. I was judged for moving forward. I was told, in whispers and in bold statements, that because I had once been married to a monarch, I no longer had the right to marry again.

Some assumed that once you divorce a monarch, you no longer have the right to marry another man. Some believed loyalty to a throne should last a lifetime, even when the marriage does not.

But I am not a throne. I am not a title. I am not bound by stigma.

Tradition spoke loudly. Society spoke loudly.
But my pain was louder.

I can close my eyes and write pages of bitterness — not from hearsay, but from lived experience. I know what it feels like to be misunderstood. I know what it means to rebuild when your name is questioned. I know what it feels like to start again with almost nothing but faith. 😢 😭
And that is why I give.
I do not give because I have abundance.
I give because I understand lack.
I give because I know the weight of judgment.
I give because I remember being in need — emotionally, socially, financially.

My story did not break me. It built me.
Today, my life stands as proof that a woman is more than a title, more than a cultural expectation, more than public opinion. I chose healing. I chose dignity. I chose purpose.

My story.
My life.
No one can tell it better than me.

And now, I use it to ensure others never suffer in silence.

I was 28 years old when my world collapsed.

My son was just six months and one day old when I lost my husband.

In one moment, I became a widow.
In the next, I became a suspect.
I was accused of killing the man I loved.
I was mocked.
I was ridiculed.
Plans were made to take my child from me.
Even my future was discussed without my consent.

Grief alone was unbearable.
But the humiliation nearly broke me.

My health began to fail — hypertension, depression, silent tears that no one saw at night.

There were days I questioned everything.
There were moments I felt forgotten.

But I refused to let tragedy define my destiny.

I survived because I had a GOOD MOTHER who stood like a wall around me. And of course guided and guarded by Almighty Allah.
I survived because faithful people chose love over judgment.
I survived because education gave me something to stand on when everything else was shaking.

Two years later, I was able to work again — not because the pain disappeared, but because I had qualifications.

And then a question began to burn in my heart:

What about the widows who don’t have education?
Who speaks for the vulnerable woman with no support?
Must survival come with suffering?
Must dignity be negotiated?

That question gave birth to purpose.

That is why I founded ** (TOSAF)**.

Because no woman should suffer in silence.
No child should lose both parents while one is still alive.
And no story should end because tragedy knocked.

My husband died.
But my destiny did not.

And through this foundation, I pray many more women will rise again.
Turning pain into purpose.
