IDA ELECTORAL COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES TWO-DAY EXTENSION OF NOMINATION FORM COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION

The Iperu Akesan Development Association (IDA) Electoral Committee hereby announces a two-day extension period, until Sunday, 2nd August 2026, for the collection of nomination forms, registration, and submission of nomination acknowledgement forms online.

This decision has become necessary following the technical challenges experienced by some prospective candidates during the registration process online, as well as to provide additional opportunity for more registered clubs and associations to complete the nomination process.

The Electoral Committee therefore encourages all affected candidates, clubs, and associations to take full advantage of this extension to perfect their candidacy. Applicants are advised to carefully complete every stage of the registration process and ensure it is successfully submitted by reaching the final confirmation page displaying "Thank you for your Submission."

The Committee appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders and remains committed to conducting a credible, transparent, and inclusive electoral process.

We wish all aspirants the very best in the election process.

Adebutu, Daniel Joins Royal Fathers, Remo Indigenes at 8th Remo Day Celebration in the UK

The 8th edition of the Remo Day Celebration was held in the United Kingdom, bringing together prominent sons and daughters of Remoland in a colourful display of unity, culture, and heritage.

Among the distinguished personalities in attendance was former governor of Ogun state, Senator Gbenga Daniel, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, who joined the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Ajayi, alongside his father, Sir Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, the Balogun of Remoland and Odole of the Source.

The event also witnessed the presence of traditional rulers from across Remoland, as well as Remo indigenes resident in the United Kingdom and beyond, who gathered to celebrate their shared history, promote cultural values, and strengthen ties among the Remo people in the diaspora.

The annual Remo Day Celebration continues to serve as a vital platform for fostering unity, preserving the rich cultural heritage of Remoland, and encouraging collaboration towards the development of the region.

IDA ELECTORAL COMMITTEE CALLS ON CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS TO ENSURE ADEQUATE REPRESENTATION IN THE FORTHCOMING ELECTION

20th July 2026.

The Iperu Akesan Development Association (IDA) Electoral Committee hereby calls on all registered clubs and associations under the Association to actively participate in the forthcoming IDA Election by ensuring they are adequately represented.

This election presents another opportunity for every eligible clubs and associations to contribute meaningfully to the leadership and continuous development of our great community. We therefore encourage interested and qualified members to obtain their nomination forms without delay.

The sale of nomination forms has officially commenced and will close on Friday, 31st July, 2026. Eligible aspirants are advised to complete the process before the deadline, as no extension will be granted.

Let us all demonstrate our commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and responsible leadership by encouraging broad participation in this democratic process.

Make your club and association evenly represented in the forthcoming Iperu Akesan Development Association (IDA) Election.

In continued efforts to project and promote the rich Eyo cultural heritage in Iperu, the Eyo Iperu Carnival Committee, under the leadership of Barr. Taiwo Gbenga Owokalade Esq. will be ably represented by Chief Mrs Sariat Yeyeoge Ogunlaja and will be live on Fresh 105.3 FM, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos, for an engaging and enlightening discussion on the significance, history, and preservation of the Eyo heritage in Iperu.
