“I have a dream…” Martin Luther King Jr.

One of the purest joys of childhood is the abundance of green dreams, the hopes, aspirations, and limitless imaginations that young minds carry. And today, at the Osun Careers Fair, a sub-program of the Osun Teens Lead Conference 2025, those dreams were given both exposure and a taste of the future. Over 1,500 teenagers in Osogbo received a guiding light through practical, real-life career sessions.

Students had ample time to interact with seasoned professionals across diverse fields such as Accounting and Banking, Music and Creative Arts, Tech, Education, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, the Sports Industry, and many more.

It wasn’t just about leadership this year, but also about giving their dreams wings. This conference reminded every young participant that if you can dream it, you can achieve it💪

Change starts with you…

At the Osun Teens Lead Conference, Osogbo Centre, earlier today, prefects were guided by their school counsellors to identify the pressing challenges within their schools and discuss practical, feasible solutions to address them.

This session, one that sparked remarkable transformations and student-led projects across various schools last year, is already showing strong promise again this year.

It is a hands-on approach that helps students channel their knowledge, creativity, and energy into the right initiatives. It trains their minds not only to recognize problems but to envision and execute solutions that fit their immediate environment.

This is Teens Lead: raising proactive, solution-driven leaders of tomorrow💪

Osun State Teens Lead Conference & Careers Fair 2025 was powerful and inspiring!
The annual conference, pioneered by Destiny Development Initiative (DDI) in partnership with the Osun State Senior Secondary Schools Board (OSSSSB), continues to build leadership and responsibility in teenagers—the true leaders of tomorrow.

This year came with a major twist! Beyond leadership training, 20 students from 75 schools in Osogbo got a sneak peek into their future careers through the Careers Fair, exploring 30+ professional booths.

Mr. Segun Oduyebo emphasized the 2025 theme, “Change Makers,” urging students to start where they are and take responsibility for driving change. His message—“Think Big, Start Small, Grow Steady”—encouraged them to be problem finders and problem solvers early in life.

Special appreciation to all counsellors, teachers, and dignitaries from the Ministry of Education who made this impactful vision a success.

Dreams were ignited. Minds were shaped. Purpose was stirred.
The journey continues this Tuesday (Ilesa) and Thursday (Ife).

Architect Ayodeji Ogedengbe in his session spoke on the build up of an entrepreneur which he described as the ability to identify a problem and create a solution that meets that need. According to him, “Anything around us that denies us comfort is a problem waiting to be solved.”

He emphasized that every entrepreneur must possess the mindset of a gap filler which is someone who recognizes deficiencies and takes responsibility for addressing them. He also encouraged participants to “domesticate the problem” as the first step toward crafting meaningful and sustainable solutions.

In his closing words, Architect Ogedengbe reminded the audience that “money only flows in the direction of value.” He urged the young minds present to embrace collaboration early, noting that the sooner we learn to partner with one another, the greater our collective impact will be.

Mrs. Olatunde took participants deep into the realities of business building and the mindset every entrepreneur must have to thrive. At the heart of her message was a reminder that empowerment goes beyond skill acquisition.
