Captain Ahmad Mahmoud Mourns the Passing of Barr. Kunle Sulaiman

The founder of the Captain Ahmad Mahmoud Foundation (CAMFoundation), Captain Ahmad Mahmoud, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the respected elder statesman and legal luminary, Kunle Sulaiman, who died recently. His death has been described as a great loss not only to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but also to the people and government of Kwara State.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Captain Ahmad Mahmoud said the passing of Barrister Sulaiman marks the end of an important era in the political and legal history of the state. According to him, the late APC chieftain was a man of integrity, wisdom, and unwavering dedication who committed a large part of his life to the service of humanity, justice, and the progress of Kwara State.

“Barrister Kunle Sulaiman was a symbol of loyalty, dedication, and selfless service. His passion for the development of our state and his commitment to the ideals of the APC will always be remembered. He was a leader who loved his people genuinely, and the people also loved him for his honesty, kindness, and wise counsel,” he stated.

Captain Mahmoud further extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the leadership and members of the APC, the immediate family of the deceased, friends, associates, and the entire people of the state who are mourning this painful loss.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late elder statesman and reward his good deeds abundantly. “We pray that Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, forgives all his sins, accepts his good deeds, widens his grave, fills it with light, and grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah also grant his family, friends, and associates the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this great loss,” he added.

Scholars Advocate Youth Education at Captain Ahmad Mahmoud Foundation Ramadan Lecture

The Captain Ahmad Mahmoud Foundation (CAM) has held its first Ramadan public lecture, focusing on the theme “Development of Youth and the Importance of Education in Islam.” The event attracted members of the Muslim community, scholars, and youths who gathered to listen and learn during the holy month.

Delivering the lecture was Islamic scholar Sheikh Mustopha Abdulraheem Ameenullah, who spoke extensively on the need to invest in young people through sound education and moral guidance.

According to the guest lecturer, youth remain the backbone of any nation’s progress, stressing that their development plays a vital role in building a responsible and prosperous society. He explained that Islam places great emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge and encourages young Muslims to seek education alongside good character.

He also urged parents, community leaders, and stakeholders to support youth development, noting that educated and morally upright youths are essential for national growth and the advancement of the Muslim Ummah.
