UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT (UNIPORT) ANNOUNCES 50TH GOLDEN JUBILEE AND 35TH COMBINED CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) wishes to inform the general public, members of the university community, stakeholders, alumni, parents, guardians, and friends of the institution of its forthcoming 50th Golden Jubilee Celebration and the 35th Combined Convocation Ceremony.

This landmark event, which signifies five decades of academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and outstanding contributions to national and global development, has been carefully planned to celebrate the institution’s rich history and the achievements of its staff, students, and alumni. The university is proud to have produced generations of graduates who have gone on to excel in diverse fields across the world.

The activities marking this dual celebration have been scheduled to hold from Monday, 21st July to Sunday, 27th July, 2025.

Pado reports that the week-long event will feature a series of engaging and memorable programs, including lectures, exhibitions, cultural performances, an alumni reunion, awards, and the grand convocation ceremony, where degrees will be conferred on deserving undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The university’s management extends a warm invitation to all to join in this celebration of legacy, growth, and excellence. Family members of the graduating students are especially encouraged to attend and witness this important milestone in the academic journey of their loved ones.

SOUTHERN DELTA UNIVERSITY, OZORO RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University hereby, announces commencement of its admission exercise for candidates who chose the institution as first choice and scored 150 and above in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Those who did not choose the University as first choice, are to do a change of institution to Southern Delta University (formerly Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro), including all direct entry candidates.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have five (5) credits passes in relevant subjects in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or it’s equivalent at not more than two sittings as contained in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination requirements. Direct entry candidates must National Diploma (Upper Credit) from a reputable institution.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Candidates are to apply online by visiting the University website at http://dsust.edu.ng

Step i: Click on Apply under admission menu

Step ii: Create profile.

Step iii: Follow the instructions therein

Step iv: Make payment of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira, Only) with your preferred payment platform (bank transfer etc).

Step v: Upon successful payment, upload your red-colored passport photograph (not more than 500kb).

Step vi: Fill in other relevant information in the following sections.

Step vii: Preview for corrections.

Step viii: Submit and print a copy of the filled form.

All candidates should note that application for admission closes Friday, 5th September, 2025.

LASUED ANNOUNCES SALES OF POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION.👇🏼

The management of LASUED has announced the start of the online registration for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

✅ Eligibility Criteria:

UTME Candidates:

You must have selected LASUED as your First Choice during JAMB registration.

You must have scored at least 170 in the 2025 UTME.

You must have the correct O’Level subjects as required in the JAMB brochure.

You must have uploaded your O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before 24th August, 2025.

You must be at least 16 years old by 31st October, 2025.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

You must have selected LASUED as First Choice in your Direct Entry application.

You must hold a relevant NCE, ND, or Diploma result.

You must also upload all necessary documents and submit a copy of your DE screening report and result notification to the Admissions Office.

2. 📄 Required Documents and Qualifications

Before applying, make sure you have all the necessary documents. You must have:

A minimum of five (5) credit passes in your WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS results.

Credits should include English Language and Mathematics, and must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

A valid JAMB result (UTME or DE) that meets the score and subject requirements.

1. Log in to your JAMB CAPS portal.
2. Go to “Check Admission Status.”
3. Click “Access my CAPS.”*
4. Then click on “My Profile.”
5. Your UTME score should appear there.

✅ If you've seen your result before, still check to confirm whether it's your current score or a previous year's score.
