Today, February 22nd, we join millions of Scouts and Guides worldwide to celebrate Founders’ Day. This day marks the joint birthday of Lord Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powell, the visionary couple who sparked a movement that transformed the world.
What started as 20 boys on Brownsea Island has grown into a global family of over 50 million. But Founders’ Day isn't just about looking back at history; it’s about looking forward at the impact we make today.
Why We Celebrate:
Scouting is more than just knots and camping; it is a commitment to character. Every time we help a neighbor, protect our environment, or lead a team through a challenge, we are living the legacy Lord Baden Powel left for us. We are reminded today that "the real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people.

OUR CHALLENGE TODAY:
1. To honor our founders, we ask every Scout in our group to:
Wear your scarf with pride: Let the world see the movement you belong to.
2. The "Good Turn" Challenge: Perform at least one act of service today without being asked.
3. Reflect: Re-read the Scout Law and pick one point to focus on for the coming month.

To our Scouts, leaders, and parents;
thank you for keeping the flame of Scouting alive in our community. Let’s continue to leave this world a little better than we found it.
