Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, we stand in solidarity with survivors and reaffirm our commitment to promoting dignity, protection, justice, and accountability for all.

Sexual violence in conflict leaves lasting scars on individuals, families, and communities. Ending it requires collective action, stronger protection systems, survivor-centered support, and a shared commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of vulnerable populations.

At Royal Heritage Health Foundation (RHHF), we continue to advocate for safer communities where women, girls, boys, and other vulnerable groups are protected from violence, exploitation, and abuse.

Let us raise our voices, support survivors, challenge harmful norms, and work together to build a future where peace, dignity, and human rights prevail.

Speak Up. Stand Together. End Violence. Build Peace.

📍ADVOCACY VISIT TO COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS IN MONGUNO AND KALA/BALGE LGAs, BORNO STATE

As part of the commencement of the project titled *"Strengthening Life-saving Multi-sectoral Protection, Child Protection, GBV Response, and PSEA Accountability for Vulnerable Populations in Monguno and Kala/Balge LGAs, Borno State,"* the Royal Heritage Health Foundation (RHHF) team, led by the Program Manager and supported by project staff, conducted advocacy visits to community leaders and key stakeholders across the target communities.

The advocacy meetings provided an opportunity to introduce the project, explain its objectives and expected outcomes, and discuss the anticipated benefits for vulnerable populations within the communities. Discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration with traditional leaders, community influencers, and other stakeholders whose support is essential for effective project implementation.

The project is expected to improve access to life-saving protection services, strengthen child protection mechanisms, enhance gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response systems, and promote Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) accountability within the communities. Through the active involvement and support of community leaders, the project will foster community ownership, increase acceptance of interventions, and contribute to creating a safer and more protective environment for women, children, and other vulnerable groups.

Community leaders expressed their appreciation for the initiative and pledged their support toward ensuring the successful implementation of the project for the benefit of their communities.

This project is funded by NHF and implemented by Royal Heritage Health Foundation (RHHF).

As part of the ongoing monitoring and supervision activities under the RAAMP Project, our team visited Namu Community in Quan’Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State to engage with stakeholders and assess community-level interventions.

The visit included advocacy meetings with community leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, promote community ownership, and ensure the successful implementation of project activities. We also conducted a community sensitization session at the Namu market, where awareness was raised on key social issues, and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed to community members.

In support of the health and wellbeing of women and girls, sanitary pads were also distributed to promote menstrual hygiene and dignity. Furthermore, the team paid a courtesy visit to the community police station to strengthen partnerships and enhance local support systems for safeguarding and community protection.

Through continuous engagement, monitoring, and collaboration, RAAMP remains committed to improving livelihoods, strengthening community structures, and ensuring that development interventions create lasting impact for the people of Plateau State.

Every woman deserves safe childbirth, quality healthcare, and the chance to live with dignity.

Obstetric fistula is preventable and treatable, yet many women still suffer in silence due to lack of access to proper maternal healthcare. Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and advocate for safer deliveries for all women and girls. 💜
