❤️ OUT WITH THE ELDERLY — A DAY OF CARE, CHOICE & DIGNITY 🛒

What if caring for an elderly person meant more than simply giving them something?

For our recent Out With the Elderly outreach, we spent time with Mama, went to the market together, and gave her the opportunity to choose the things she needed.

It was more than a market trip. It was about choice, dignity, connection and care.

We are grateful for the smiles, prayers and beautiful moments we shared. 🥹❤️

This is what we believe at AidingAge Foundation — that every elderly person deserves to be seen, heard, valued and cared for.

Care is more than giving. It is showing up. ❤️

🧠❤️ WORLD ALZHEIMER’S DAY

“The more we understand, the better we can care.”

Have you noticed an elderly loved one becoming more forgetful, confused, or struggling with things they used to do easily?

Sometimes, these changes may be dismissed as “just old age.” But persistent memory loss and changes in thinking or behaviour can be signs of something more, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s affects memory, thinking and everyday life — and it can affect the whole family, especially those providing care.

As caregivers and loved ones, we can make a difference by learning the signs, being patient, avoiding shame or harshness, and encouraging appropriate medical support when concerns arise.

Most importantly, a person living with Alzheimer’s still deserves dignity, patience, respect and love. ❤️

This World Alzheimer’s Day, let’s learn more, create awareness and remind ourselves that caring starts with understanding.
