UPDATE: Erinta/Obaluru Road Improvement Initiative

We're thrilled to share that a team from the Osun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure visited our community yesterday, February 13, 2025!

The team assessed the Erinta/Obaluru Road for improvement, taking a crucial step towards making our community's infrastructure better!

They arrived at 2:00 pm and departed at 3:30 pm. It was a productive and pleasant visit!

We're grateful for this progress and look forward to seeing the positive impact on our community!

Update on Our Request for Erinta/Obaluru Road Improvement

Dear Community Members,

I'm pleased to share with you the latest update on our efforts to improve our community road, Erinta/Obaluru. As you may recall, we wrote to the state governor in December 2023, requesting his intervention in upgrading the road.

Since then, I've been following up with the Governor's Office, and last December, we were advised to send a reminder. Due to Oba Mulato's absence from the country, he entrusted me with writing the reminder on his behalf.

I'm happy to inform you that the reminder letter, dated January 23, 2025, was delivered to the Governor's Office today. We're keeping the momentum going, and I'm confident that our persistence will eventually yield positive results.

Let's continue to be patient, hopeful, and united in our quest for a better road. I'd like to thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout this process.

Together, we'll make our voices heard, and we won't stop making efforts until we succeed!

Welcome to the Erinta/Obaluru Community Development Initiative page!

We are excited to launch this platform, where we will keep you updated on our efforts to improve infrastructure in our community. Our current focus is the rehabilitation of the deplorable Erinta/Obaluru Community Road.

To achieve this, our revered traditional ruler, Oba Abiodun Orarotimi Molato, the Obaluru of Ife Kingdom, took a significant step by writing to the Office of the Governor of Osun State on our behalf. The letter, dated December 14, 2023, formally requested the rehabilitation and upgrade of our road to world-class standards, and we successfully served the letter on December 19, 2023. Attached to this post is a copy of the service copy of the letter.

During follow-up visits to the governor's office, our representative was informed that our letter had been received but had not been acted upon. Specifically, during the second-to-last visit, our representative confirmed that the letter had entered the governor's office but was still pending. Unfortunately, during the last visit, our representative was told that no action had been taken.

We previously succeeded in electrifying our community. Thanks to Senator Fadahunsi, who secured the project from the Federal Government for his constituents. Special thanks to Barr. Oluseyi Tomiwa Phillips for initiating our request to the Rural Electrification Agency. Thanks to Mr. Adedoyin Ebenezer and other well-meaning residents for their moral support.
