100L 2025/2026 Orientation of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AE-FUNAI.
The programme commenced with an opening prayer, which set a calm and purposeful atmosphere for the event. This was immediately followed by the introduction of the departmental staff and the SEEES Executives, giving the freshmen an opportunity to know the people who will guide and support them throughout their academic journey.
The first speech of the day was delivered by the Department Officer, Engr. Okafor Amarachi who warmly welcomed the new students into the department. She encouraged them to begin their registration without delay, emphasizing the importance of knowing their academic standing from the onset. She further advised them to be mindful of their conduct as they settle into the system, reminding them that discipline and responsibility are key to their success.
The Acting HOD, Engr Samuel Ezichi, who represented the HoD, Engr. Dr. Nnaemeka Ugwuanyi, spoke extensively on academic excellence, explaining in detail how students can calculate their CGPA, and stressing the importance of maintaining a strong academic foundation. His session provided clarity and motivation, equipping the freshmen with the knowledge they need to excel academically.
Next, the Staff Adviser, Engr Osuji took the stage, beginning with a warm welcome to the new students. He proceeded with an encouraging speech on discipline, focus, and the importance of cultivating good academic and personal habits. His words added depth and guidance to the day’s discussions.
The event also featured contributions from other special guests, all of whom gave insightful remarks aimed at preparing the students for a successful stay in the department.
In conclusion, the orientation programme was a remarkable success. It was informative, well-coordinated, and highly beneficial to the freshmen. We appreciate all staff, executives, and guests who contributed to the success of the event.
