Mind Matters was more than a project. It was a conversation about mental health, hope and access to support.

Through the Presidential Fellowship Program, JCI Lagos Coral reached over 1,000 inmates with a mental health awareness and facilitation session.

We also had one-on-one counselling sessions with selected inmates and explored bail options for a few individuals.

Every conversation mattered. Every person mattered.

Mind Matters 🧠💙

A project built on one simple belief: mental health matters, every mind matters, and every person deserves to be heard.

Through the Presidential Fellowship Program, JCI Lagos Coral brought mental health awareness, conversations and support to over 1,000 inmates at the Agodi Correctional Centre.

From group facilitation to one-on-one counselling and exploring bail options for selected inmates, Mind Matters was about turning awareness into action.

This August 2026, JCI Lagos Coral Presidential Fellowship Program is taking a Mental Health Awareness Outreach to Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan.

Behind those walls are people. People with burdens, regrets, trauma, anxiety... and the same need for hope that we all have.

Our mission is simple: to remind them that their mental health matters, they are seen, and healing is possible.
