Today 28th April 2026, Circuit Pointe along other stakeholders of the State Response Team on Gender and Human Rights worked on the finalization of the imo state HIV/AIDS anti stigmatisation and Discrimination Law.

The SRT had jointly worked on this law and today it was adopted as a working document ready for transmission to the Chairman Imo State House of Assembly Committee on Health for further legislative actions

We also updated the national GHR checklist for reduction of Gender and Human rights in the operational plan 2026 to 2027.

Today, 27/4/2026, the NEPWHAN State Team, alongside the three CBOs implementing the Integrated CLM Project and Community Rights Advocates (CRAs), convened for a productive orientation session focused on Gender and Human Rights (GHR) case identification, resolution, and reporting.

The meeting, hosted at the YABS office, brought together key stakeholders committed to strengthening community-led monitoring and response systems. Facilitated by Nwamadi Richard Onyema of Circuit Pointe and Chris from YABS, the session explored critical areas including:
✅Understanding GHR cases and where they commonly occur
✅Examining the dimensions and dynamics of GHR issues
✅Practical approaches to identifying and documenting cases
✅Resolution strategies for minor cases
✅Established referral pathways within the project framework

This engagement marks another important step toward building the capacity of frontline actors to effectively respond to human rights concerns within our communities and ensure no voice goes unheard.

Circuit Pointe joins the global community in raising awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) — a preventable and curable disease that still impacts millions around the world.

This year, Circuit Pointe proudly provided support to the three LGAs we are backstopping, joining hands with community stakeholders, health workers, and partners to strengthen TB awareness, testing, and treatment efforts.

Together, we continue to push for a future where TB is no longer a threat.
💡 What everyone should know:

TB is preventable and treatable.
✅Early testing is one of the strongest tools in stopping its spread.
✅Completing treatment ensures full recovery and helps prevent drug‑resistant TB.
✅Communities working together can accelerate the journey toward a TB‑free world.
