The interaction focused on bridging classroom learning with industry realities, while inspiring the next generation to see themselves as active contributors to Africa’s evolving communications landscape.

“The future of our profession will be shaped by how prepared, confident, and intentional you are about your place in it,” he shared.

Prof. Rene Benecke, Head of the School of Communication at the University of Johannesburg, emphasized the importance of aligning academic training with industry needs, noting that “platforms like this ensure our students are not only qualified, but truly ready to contribute meaningfully to the profession.”
