AKINDIPE’S MEGA EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME NOW HOLDS AUGUST 24–26

The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has announced new dates for the much-anticipated Mega Empowerment Programme, now scheduled to hold from Monday, 24th to Wednesday, 26th August 2026.

Residents across the nine wards of Ajeromi are encouraged to look forward to three days of purposeful engagement as the Local Government continues to advance its commitment to inclusive growth and people-centred governance.

MAYOR OKEOWO CELEBRATES OLU-IWA OF IWA AND APAPA KINGDOM, OBA MOROOFDEEN OYEKUNLE OLUWA, ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, PhD, has extended warm congratulations to the revered Olu-Iwa of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Moroofdeen Oyekunle Oluwa, on the occasion of his birthday, describing the foremost traditional ruler as a symbol of dignity, wisdom, peace and exemplary leadership.

Mayor Okeowo noted that the Olu-Iwa has continued to play an invaluable role in fostering harmony, preserving the rich cultural heritage of the kingdom and supporting initiatives that promote the growth and development of Ifelodun LCDA and its adjoining communities. He commended the monarch’s fatherly disposition, accessibility and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people, qualities that have earned him the admiration and respect of all.

According to the Chairman, “Kabiyesi’s reign has been marked by remarkable wisdom, purposeful leadership and an enduring commitment to unity. His counsel, prayers and steadfast support for developmental efforts have continued to inspire us in government and the entire traditional institution. Today, we celebrate not only his birth but also a life devoted to service, peace and the progress of our people.”

Mayor Okeowo prayed that Almighty God would continue to bless His Royal Majesty with sound health, abundant grace, divine protection and many more years on the throne of his forefathers. He wished the royal father continued peace, fulfilment and greater accomplishments as he continues to provide visionary leadership for the Iwa and Apapa Kingdom.
