UPDATE ON THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICE RECTOR/DEAN OF STUDIES OF OUR GREAT ALMA MATER AND THE 2024 GRADUATION CEREMONY.

It was a grace filled occasion with the help of God who has brought people from far and near to celebrate our brothers who have completed their formation in the Juniorate and in joint Celebration of the Anniversary.

Today Juniorate Ihiala adds to its record another 71 young men who we can now be regarded as JOBA.
We are grateful to God who has seen them through.
Something remarkable about today's occasion is, as JUNIORATE goes to its 71 years since it was started, 71 graduated.
The records presented show the effort of the Staff and Administrative Team who led them through from 7th September, 2018 when they were admitted to this glorious day. 14th July, 2024.
Awards of excellence were presented starting from the BEST GRADUATING STUDENT and host of others who are exceptional in different fields of learning and Character. Also in the Spirit of our Founder (Francis MaryPaul Libermann) who emphasized on Charity, we had a student who was singled out as the MOST CHARITABLE amongst the graduating Student.

At the Eucharistic Celebration Fr. Igboanyika in his two fold Homily congratulated the graduands and as such made them to understand that the journey to success just began. Making good use of their time would be the best they can do for themselves.
He also highlighted the personality of REV. FR. DR. HERBERT OPARA, CSSp who celebrates his 25th Priestly Anniversary today, a person who has been at the service of the Church and Humanity, once a secretary of the one Nigerian Province and have also served as Parish Vicar and Parish Priest and presently in the Juniorate his Alma Mater. (1983 Set).

Other events was a success with the parents who gathered to celebrate their children on this great event.

REV. FR. LEO OKEKE CSSp, CELEBRATES.

It has been a moment of Joy and Celebration for our Alma Mater from the month of March (6th-8th) when she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee and also the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (SPIRITANS) who are the founders of the institution (Seminary).

Love for ourselves and Alma Mater has made us keep good memories of our early days of training which found its way in making us better people in the society.

Holy Ghost Juniorate Ihiala has attained 70 Years of its Existence and by so counts over thousands of people who have passed through this prestigious institution.

The JUNIORATE OLD BOYS unanimously Celebrate one of her past Rector, who on record is the 16th Rector of the School and the 6th Indigenous Rector also the longest served Rector of the Institution (1993-2005) in the Person of Rev. Fr. Leo OKEKE, CSSp. On the forthcoming occasion of his 80th Birthday and 52nd Year of his Priestly ministry. We Remain grateful to God for such a great gift.

At the course of the Anniversary (Platinum Jubilee), we observed that Fr. Leo's formative standard was without compromise. Many gained positively from it as they kept on appreciating him for the past memorable old days when he instilled discipline on them added to that were gifts, while some others took pictures with him.

We continue to pray for him that God who has sustained him till this day would grant him good health of mind and body. Amen.

THE 2024 PENTECOST CELEBRATION UPDATE.

The Joy of the Easter Season continues. Christ who has risen from the dead ascended into Heaven and sent us the comforter, the Holy Spirit who will remain with us till the end of the world.

The Feast of our Alma Mater takes place on every Pentecost Sunday. We not only celebrate as a feast day but join the Universal Church on this Special feast to celebrate the Decent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles.

JOBA in different places makes it a memorable and joyous feast to share together as a family the Joy of the brotherhood.

JOBA Imo state chapter made it a memorable one as they began the Celebration with the Holy Mass at CKC Alvan ikoku Chaplaincy Owerri, all dressed in their uniform. After Which other Celebration followed. It was more of a family feast with their Children and Wives.
Joined in the Celebration are Ambassador Prince Akano, Hon I.k Njoku, Sir Ben-Glad Okonkwo, Barr Ibekwe, Sir Paulinus Muoghara and host of others.

JOBAS Lagos Chapter joined with the People of God and one of our own Rev Fr Ugwo Boniface, The Parish Priest at St Francis, Oregun also had their Celebration.

JOBAS at SIST also in the Spirit of the Celebration took a snapshot in their traditional attire. Joined with them are some of their Contemporaries who came for Mass.

We also Live Streamed the Pentecost Celebration at Holy Ghost Juniorate Ihiala.
