In the wake of the profound loss of my beloved father, a pillar of strength and a guiding light in my life, I find myself humbled beyond words by the overwhelming show of love, compassion, and solidarity that has embraced me and my family.

This past week has been a journey through the deepest valleys of sorrow, a time when the heart aches with an emptiness that only the loss of a cherished parent can bring. Yet, in this darkest hour, your presence—whether in person, in prayer, in word, or in spirit—has been a balm to my wounded soul.

To my senior friends, associates, peers, comrades, and the countless groups who have stood by me: your visits, your heartfelt condolences, your ceaseless support have been nothing short of a lifeline. Each embrace, each word of comfort, each silent prayer has reminded me that grief is not borne alone, but shared and softened by the bonds of brotherhood and friendship.

Your kindness has rekindled hope where despair threatened to consume, and your solidarity has fortified my spirit to carry forward the legacy of a man whose love and wisdom shaped the very core of who I am.

My entire family and I are eternally grateful for your compassion, your time, and your presence. In this moment of profound loss, you have shown us the true meaning of community and the power of collective strength that Oligede represents.

OLERU MEDIA, through the directive of Oleru Innocent Adoga, the NDC Candidate for the Oju/Obi House of Representatives seat, proudly honors two distinguished sons of Igede on their special day.

First, we celebrate Chief Isaac Ijwo, a respected political leader and philanthropist whose unflinching support for youths and youthful innovations continues to inspire. As the holder of the prestigious title “Ojugbeyi 1 Ny'Obi” — meaning “Pathfinder” — Chief Ijwo has truly blazed a trail of progress and empowerment in our community.

"The prevalent challenges in Igede are poverty and unemployment among the young people, these bind us all, and cut across every family, hamlet and community. So the question is "how can people help themselves?" a true leader who wants to offer impactful assistance will always look at the peculiarity of the community, and Agriculture touches at least 95% of the Oju/Obi constituency. And no, everything about Ol'eru is not Agriculture, that is only a starting point. There have been several interventions I have championed before; from medical outreaches to sports, to economic investment summit, soon we would be talking about ICT" - Ol'eru Innocent Adoga.

Brothers and Sisters of Oju/Obi Federal Constituency,

Our story is unique, and our needs are peculiar.

Over 95% of us are farmers. Our strength is in the soil. But year after year, we watch our yams, rice, and beniseed rot on bad roads before they ever reach the market.


Our greatest asset is our people - thousands of educated, skilled, and ambitious youths. Yet many of them are still unemployed, still waiting, still admiring from a distance as other constituencies get digital training, job facilitation, and overseas workshops.

For too long, we have settled for representation that speaks ABOUT us, but not FOR us.

For too long, we have waited for change that never came home.

This is why 2027 must be different.

We need a leader who understands our pain because he lives it.

A leader who knows the sleepless nights of a farmer during planting season.


A leader who feels the frustration of a graduate with certificates but no opportunity.

Ol'eru Innocent Adoga is that leader.

He is one of us — a farmer, and a youth.

Time and again, you have shown unrelenting commitments to the growth and progressive of Oju/Obi Federal Constituency. These are shared values with Ol'eru Innocent Adoga, who himself have championed and promoted the "Igede first" mantra over the years.
